Features : 3
photo flame top-crap
bolt on neck-shifts
two davison soapbar pickups
active electronics-fail often

Sound : 2
this was my first bass, i got it in 2005 and have since moved on to a stingray, a mexican jazz bass,an mtd kz5,a dean q6, and a shecter stilletto studio. at first i was really impressed with the tone through my little acoustic b100 but the electronics quikly failed. it cannot compare at all to even some of my lower end bassas

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
the action was to high on the B D and G strings but too low on the E and A creatng nasty buzz. the frets are small and chinsy. i think the wood is probably cheap maple or agathis. tuners are crap, i have to rettune every 5 minutes while playing.

Reliability/Durability : 1
i wwould never play this live.
the hardware is flimsy, the volume and treble knobs are noticably loose.
the finish is soft and dents easily, the foto flame is unnatractive.
the strap button on the horn has ripped out leaving a big gaping hole
the neck is suprisingly strait

Customer Support : 1
good luck finding a davison website, the factory is bassicly a sweat shop in north korea where the luthiers if you can call them that are slaves.
costumer support doesnt excist

Overall Rating : 1
anyways, stick with a dean q5 you can get on ebay for $140-$200

Bass has an awesmome flamed top (maple) and rosewood fretboard. 24 frets and I think 34" scale. Active pickups. Gloss finsh. Solid hardware, bridge, etc.

Sound : 9
Sounds great, I have a bunch of basses - both active and passive and I love the way this sounds both on gigs and in my little home recording.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
It actually played pretty well right out of the box, I was surprised though I did end up oiling the fretbaord a little bit.

Reliability/Durability : 10
No issues!!

Customer Support : 10
Emeiled re a few quesitons and had almost instant response. Bought it on ebay which did worry me, but they were really nice and helpful.

Overall Rating : 9
I give it a 9. It was pretty much better than I expected for the money I spent and I will buy another in the 6 string sometime soon.

Features : 2
It is active and supposedly alder wood with a cheap looking maple top colored very darkish blackish green.

Sound : 1
At first it seemed cool because it was two active humbuckers.
I realized it was cheap sounding in comparison to my SR505.
Pickups failed in 20 days, so bad rating.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
Buzzing on frets.

Reliability/Durability : 1
Obviously low rating, since the pickups/electronics failed in 20 days.

Customer Support : 1
It was advertised as Full Warranty with square trade, etc, etc on ebay.

They wouldn't help me with any warranty whatsoever.

Overall Rating : 1
Don't buy online.
Try it first.
That's what I learned.
Also, stick to some type of known brand, even if it seems cool in the online photos and is brand new, etc.

Features : 5
All the features you want as far as active electronics and eq.
Alder, Maple top (you can barely notice it).

Sound : 3
Does not sound as good as my sound gear bass. Sounds cheaper quality compared side by side. The cheap strings that came with it sound bad.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
This is supposed to have nickel hardware. It was tarnished. I had to polish it. Cheapo quality! Go ahead and buy this bass if you like fret buzz, especially above the 12th frett. My electronics totally failed within the warranty period. The ebay seller lists a full warranty and said they would do something, but did nothing and stopped commuication.

Reliability/Durability : 1
Terrible. Electronics failed after using only a few minutes.

Customer Support : 1
The seller on ebay lists a Full Warranty. It means nothing. They won't even speak to me through email, even though I have been polite and patient.

Overall Rating : 1
I am a bass teacher and have been playing 25 years.
I will not buy basses like this cheapo on online actions ever again.
Try it in person, or you will likely be sorry.

This is brand new 2007 model with a quilted maple top, 24 frets, active electronics, 6 bolt neck, nice tuners (Schallers??) the neck is maple and fret board is rosewood. I am not sure what the scale is, but it is comfortable.

Sound : 9
Sounds great, the pickups are active and I run it through my SWR for rehearsals. I do not use any effects, just the controls on the amp - with a nice scoop.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The bass looks better in person than even the pictures show. Mine is the red and the grain of the quilt is really nice. The fret board was not dry or anything. Everything seems to work just fine.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Played a gig with it last Saturday and brought my M-Man but played this one all night. I am new to 5 strings, so that is kind of strange, but other than that, I am loving it.

Customer Support : 10
I bought online from MDW and they shipped right on time, with tracking and nice emails with all purchase info. I couldn't be happier. I live in FL and got it in three days!

Overall Rating : 10
Not only do I like it, I love it aqnd plan on buying another one in the blue in the next couple weeks.
