The action of this bass is the best I've found for a disincorporated company i now see why fender felt it was a threat! I played a P-bass for 12 years and i now own Three DeArmonds a 4/5/6 and i love each as my own!

mahoghony body, 5-peice maple/walnut neck. 2 active humbuckers. satin finish, . you cannot beat the finish on this guitar for the money, trust me,ive looked. good pickups, and hardware. very, very nice looking if you like the natural-wood finished basses. PERFECT STRING SPACING for slap and speed-playing

i play progressive rock (dream theater, yes) and some slap. due to the woods, it has a warm, though pleasently bright sound. i wanted a razor sharp sound like marcus miller or stu hamm, and a growl like john myung, and its kinda in-between those. pickups are loud and can be quite hissy if you use a lot of treble. no big deal when playing with a band, but irritating when practicing. this bass would sound great with new strings. a good, well rounded sound.

action is very nice. i had to raise the b string to keep it from clicking, and that fixed it. very nice finish, smooth and slick. the neck is thin (similar to peavey or ibanez) and very playable, and it can be a tiny smidgeon neck heavey, but nothing to hamper playing. uses a leather strap that will grip your shoulder to fix that problem

i have not gigged this bass other than prancing around my room and it seems to hold up well. i think it will hold up nicely, but may require finish maintenece periodicly like oiling and polishing

i am a big fan of ibanez guitars, and if you like there high end soundgears, youll like this if your willing to sacrifice a little brightness for a freakin chunk of change. i have a sr200, but am familiar with pretty much every bass there is. i would buy this bass every day of the year. i wish it were a wee sharper sounding and a little lighter as far as the neck goes.

Yes, this bass is made in Korea, but it performs AT LEAST as well as many US-made basses I've played and NONE can beat its value. The active electronics are very nice, as is the satin-chrome hardware. Thpough I normally replace pickups, I won't go on a search for soapbar replacements - the pickups provide everything I need.
The action setup is very low, but there is no fretbuzz at all - and I play pretty high on the neck quite frequently.
The neck is very well constructed, but is not the fastest I've played. The main thing I like about the neck is the perfect spacing.

The sound is fantastic, save for the low B, which, thanks to the thin body, is somewhat thin itself, frankly. Otherwise, this thing sounds great!!!

Very nice, classy and timeless finish. Wouldn't trade the natural maple finish for anything.
Pickups were adjusted perfectly when I bought it.
No flaws that I can tell - and I look a bass up & down before buting. The nut is especially well placed, made and situated with the strings.

I've been playing bass for 20+ years and I also own a Warwick Fortress fretless and an '82 Fender. I play this one the most, however, due to its construction, playability, sound, you name it. There simply is NOT a better value on the market anywhere. I mean hell, I paid 525 for a brand new, neck-through active 6 with the construction of a Modulus (seriously - feel free to compare side-by-side. I did.).
