I bought it new in 2002 off the web from Steve?s Music Center. It's basically a lefty Fender Jazz Geddy Lee bass copy. All maple body, maple neck with a maple fretboard, and black rectangular fret markers. The bridge is a regular Fender type bridge and not a Badass bridge. Easily fixed though. Everything else is regular Jazz bass.
The quality is very good, no problems out of the box. The stock strings were bad so I replaced them. Action was good but I lowered the strings a bit so it plays really easy.
If you want a left handed Geddy Lee Jazz bass, this is about your only choice. If I were a righty I would have gotten a real Fender.

Sounds like a Jazz bass, which is good. I play through a Fender BXR-100 amp. Nice and deep growly sound with a nice little buzz from the lowered strings. The pickups make a little noise, but that's typical of the regular Jazz pickups. I'd love to hook it up to a Tech21 Bass DI.

Like I said before, strings we awful and setup was just OK. All new guitars seem to be that way though. A new set of lighter strings (Bass Boomer .100's) and a little bridge lowering made a huge difference. It plays very smoothly now. Fit and finish are perfect as far as I can see.

Like any Jazz bass, seems like it will last. I don't gig anyways.

I've been playing for about 20 years. I like to switch basses every few years and I still miss my first bass, a Ric 4003. The Dillion is a very good bass for the price. I love the look of the bass and it plays great. They should put a Badass bridge as standard, but other than that no complaints.
