Brand new stock Mosrite style bass. Black gloss with white pickguard. White binding. Two Jazz style pickups, Jazz style controls.
Tuners seem fine; I may end up upgrading them eventually.

Sounds great, lots of range (with an SVT; note sure with cheaper amps)

Plays great as delivered; did minor intonation, I'd say that's all it needs. I have found no flaws.

Playing for 25 years, mostly surf. I once had a '72 Rick 4001, this feels similar, without the excessive twang.
This is a bitchin' bass. For the price I doubt if there's better. Everyone who's played it (about 10 so far) have been blown away.

I purchased this bass new in late 2004. It is a 4 string bass, with a two-piece maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. Made in Korea. The neck has similar dimensions to a Fender Precision bass, much wider than a Jazz Bass. It has two pick-ups, each pick-up has a volume control and there is one tone control. The body is mahogany with a sunburst finish. The body appears to have three parts, with the entire top surface being one piece attached to the lower body (made of two parts) with a very nice binding holding them together. It looks almost like an old Mosrite, with the lower horn extruding out further than the top, the opposite of a Strat shape. The bridge has individual saddles for each string. I purchased it with the factory case, which is nice. I gave it an 9 for features because it would be nice to have a little more tone control and the bridge could be improved upon.

The single coil pickups sound good played thru my old Crate amp, kind of edgy and bright. I like to play surf and rock music. I used it on a recording and it sounded fine because the engineer could change the sound anyway he needed to. It does have an annoying buzz if you aren't touching any strings. But it is versatile enough to change from a bright sound to a full deep sound. I rated it 8 due to the buzz, otherwise would have been a 9.

The bass came set up perfectly and this guitar is built like a tank! Very well made, with no complaints! The neck is bolted on with four bolts and it fits flawlessly. The frets are smooth, with no buzz. The action is nice and the maple neck is smooth and easy to play. All of the electrics function perfectly. The sunburst finish is beautiful and as nice as any Fender finish. The tuning pegs are sealed and have no play at all. The bass stays in tune very well. After several hours of playing the bridge needed adjustment, if it weren't for this I would have easily given this category a 10.

This is a rugged bass, built to last. All aspects are solid, from the strap buttons to the knobs on the pots. The finish is holding up fine, very thick varnish. I've had it a year and no neck adjustment is necessary. I would gig without a back-up with no worries at all. Like I said, this bass is a tank!

I have been playing for many years, but I'm not a professional. But I did record with this bass and it sounded great. I have no regrets about buying this bass. I love the finish, the solid construction, the fact that it stays in tune, the edgy single coil pickups and the simplicity of its controls. I also like the looks - very unique. Not just another Fender or Fender copy. I don't like the buzz if you let go of the strings (ground?) and the bridge could be improved upon - the ability to tighten the saddles together would be nice. Overall I'd give it a 9.
