Made 1963 or 1964 (I think) in Italy. 4 string short scale semi-hollow with two pickups, 2 volume and 2 tone controls + a 4-way rotary pup selector (including Off position)

It was OK for the music style I played at the time (country etc).
It was bit indistinct due to the semi-hollow body.
It was better for the stage than the studio. When we recorded I had to play it through a compressor.

I used it at gigs for some 10 years. Never broke down, no backup needed.

Been playing for more than 40 years. I first played it through a 45 Watt Dynacord Bass King and a B80 speaker cabinet, later through an LEM (Italian too!) 60 Watt combo (that we still use in my band).
I bought it because it came with the Bass King and I needed a guitar amp. When I joined a band I was the only who had a bass and thus the others persuaded me to play bass.
If I were still playing bass I would love to have the Eko again, but I shifted to guitar permanently more than 15 years ago.
I appreciated the low weight and it was very easy to play.
I traded it for a new Squier Telecaster recently, so now it's gone.
Before that it had been sitting in my cupboard.
