This Eko was made in China. It has 22 frets and 4 strings. It has one musicman style humbucker what is my favorite. It has passive electronics

I love the sound of Eko mm-300. Its suits my styles which is funk, rock and punk. I use it with SWR amp. It dont have many sound choices.
Only minus of the pickup is that when you slap and play with drums, drums get over the bass so you cant hear yourself (thats why im buying MXR micro-amp)

you could drop it from 50 meters and it wouldnt broke ( i guess) i think it is solid bass, but the set-ups werent good. Strings were too low, neck was too straight....

I havent used it in Live playing but i think it works well. I have used it in studio and it was great.
I wouldnt used without backup because strings would broke so..(do I play too hard)
It feels like it is very reliability.and its rock solid.

I have played almost 10 years and I year one Ibanez customed bass.
if this would get stoled i would maeby buy it again depends how much i have many. I love the colour, sound, easiness and everything in it after i have customed it a little. I wish that it would have one volume and two tone pots.

made in china, don't know when I suppose 2002, 21 frets, 4 strings, one music man style humbucking pick up with two volume controls (it's a splittable humbucking?) and tone, passive electronics. I don't know the wood used on this bass but it's pretty heavy and solid... nice black finish. String-thru body bridge. Nice neck... basic features but it's everything you need

very good sound... the only problem is that with one pickup you get only two sounds... open tone or closed tone! and the tone control is like a switch... full open or full closed... but the sound is very punchy and bright. and it has so much volume it will beat any active bass! I have recently tried some basses (fender, tobias, ibanez) and none of them beats this cheap eko... the sound is perfect if you play rock... I play mostly hendrix and led zeppelin stuff... i usually get the right sound with the tone control full closed. sounds great with a pick, too.

the action was right but a fret was buzzing too much. i had it fixed at the shop, the bass came with a short warranty (one month). the pickup was set right i never adjusted it.

I think this thing will last a nuclear war. it seems very very solid... the hardware also seems very solid... i adjusted the truss rod some months ago and it's still ok... the setup seems to last. the finish is pretty thick...and the tuners are great it never goes out of tune. i always use it on gigs without a backup.

i have been playing bass for 4 years and this is the best bass i ever had. I sold my fender after buying this bass!!! it's a bit heavy but it sounds like hell and it's very confortable to play... i was so much satisfied with it that i bought another one since i needed two basses. (i know i'm crazy)

Very recent, 2000... even though Eko is an Italian brand I don't think this bass is made in Italy, it's too cheap. But who knows?
This is a 'copy' of a MusicMan Sting Ray, but without any contour for belly or arm, just totally slab. This is one thing that I really like... Natural finish, the grain of the unknown wood is fine to look at even if far from perfect. 4 a-side fenderish headstock, passive Music-man like pu, satin finish on the maple neck with rosewood f.board. Thru-body stringing. Volume and 2 tones (one for a mid-cut, the other for the hi-cut). Simple and well built...

Well I'm a guitarist first but I like to play bass... this as a beautifully balanced sound, not very articulate but you can make it slap or purr with a bit of eq. Not an Hi-output animal, but good for practice and reharshal. And the neck is just FANTASTIC. Many friends of mine (who are 'real' bass players and own very expensive gear- Carl Thompson, Yamaha 6-str, Status) liked very much the playability of this cheapo. The neck is thin but has still enough meat to fill your hand and is very silky
The tone controls cut the volume, well this I don't like...
Oh... this is a RESONANT one when played unplugged... fun to play in bed before you get asleep!

Everything was in place when I got it. Anyway, the truss-rod needs some tweaking sometimes but nothing to worry about. I give it a 9 because of the beautiful neck

Well I think It could face some live playing. The only minor gripe is about the tuners which don't fit perfectly in their slots...anyway they stay in place because of the string tension.
Finish is very good.

I've seen many cheap basses which are good for the price... this is better. I like the look, playability and grat resonance. Overall for the price it's a 9
