As far as big heavy bass's go, this one is light.
Tone can be adjusted through treble bass and alto.
Just looks great, my most attractive bass.

If you play metal or hard rock, the look suits your style of music.
But apart from superfical quality, all the knobs make it a different guitar with each adjustment. may hum if I bleed to make it hum but I can't get it to buzz with all the effects I have. I give the sound ten and 84 with new strings.

The only downside is it was setup dodge. The volume control was loose, the nut was scrathced and I just expected a new guitar but got what seemed sloopy seconds.

Finish on mine is the "See through" Blue, and it comes across very nicely under stage lights. Very fast nice and thin neck.

Audio is a little weak on the high end. Passive electronics seem a little weak after being used to the active rigs, but not bad. Pretty good punch, with a little heavy on the low end if controls are set flat.

Action is very impressive. I have some guitars in the upper price range ($3-4K) and this feels and plays as well. The neck is nice and thin, makes for a fast action. The color is great.

Seems to be fairly "bullet-proof" and I would have no problem using it for gigs with no backup. Strap buttons use a large fixed screw so change to quick release buttons requires a shim.

Have not dealt with the company so far. Had no reason to!

I am a professional musician, working for a couple of local recording artists. I also use a Fender Jazz and Alembic Europa, and this guitar holds its own on stage with the other two. The only weakness for me is the passive electronics. I will probably add active electronics to the guitar. Otherwise, it looks and feels great. I really like the light weight after having the Alembic hanging on me for several hours!

This is the SAME bass as reviewed elsewhere as the B-105. The LTD is the Korean made version. This is a sharp looking 5 string with 2 soapbar HB pickups, Volume, Tone and a "MID" control that shifts the sensativity curve of the PUs - you have to use it to understand it, sort of like having an active PU.
The finish is up to ESP's superb standards - the body on mine is a dark red with a clear wood neck and ALL black hardware - I've seen some with a chrome tailpiece/bridge.

I play Bluses and Classic Rock, but sometimes dabble in modern Jazz...This bass is very easy to play and can do EVERYTHING ! From mellow to door-bashing hardness and everything inbetween. A great all 'round package.

Neck is typical ESP - smooth and fast. The neck is held ROCK SOLID with 6 bolts and everything fits together perfectly. Strings were set up a little high from the factory and I had to provide my own allen wrench to ajust that, otherwise the hamonics were spot on and the pickups at the correct height.

I WISH ESP would put an email address on their website so I could ask them some tech questions.

Bass was my first stringed instrument in 1968 (God ! I'm Middle Aged !!)This is the best I've had. The look is killer and the versatility is unbeatable. If you want MORE bells and whistles look at the 205, but the sound is the same.
I WISH it had fancier inlays and a bass Trem.
I compared this with Ibanez, Sheckter, Dean, Fender and Washburn models in the same price range. The ESP won.

5-string, 24 frets, passive soapbar pick-ups... nothing special actually, but enough.

I use this bass on a Carvin 300w and I have to say that it's not my kinda sound! Our music style is based on hard riffs and a dominating rhythm sections, but this bass has too much lows... where's the highs on this thing??? I had to use a Korg ax1b effectprocessor to simulate the slap-sound that's required in the music, and without it I'm lost! If your playing standard metal or rock where the bass is just floating around in the low frequenced area, this bass is perfect, otherwise these passive pick-ups are going nowhere...

The bass it self is outstanding (I guess I was fooled by the looks) and is simply awesome. I haven't moved the pick-ups a bit because the adjustments is just how I like it. When I bought the bass the saddle was very loose, but I returned it and they fixed it within seconds... The metallick red colour is evil... I like it!

I've played live with this bass several times and it has never let me down! As long as you don't smash in the hardware they'll last a long time and it doesn't look like the finish is wearing off... However the strapbuttons are a major problem, as I have to tape them constantly! Sure I play heavy music and jump around stage like a madman, but they're supposed to last longer without needing to tape them, right!? I've never adjusted the neck/truss rod since I bought and there's never been any need to. I'd definetely use this bass without a backup, but it's kinda cool to say "hold on, I've gotta change bass" to the audience just for the fun of it... yes, I know, I'm a sad person...

I went to the store to fix the saddle, and they also adjusted the neck just to be sure, with no charge. The person who fixed the bass was alright, but his co-workers where a bunch of jack-asses... I was just a punk to them...

If this bass were stolen, I'd probably buy me a guitar instead, since I'm actually a guitarist. The finish and looks on this bass is just raw!!! It's just evil and fits perfectly to metal/hardcore/punk... both looks and the rumbling sound. But since I play more progressive funk-metal (NOT LIKE KORN) this is not exactly my bass of choice. I can't compare to any other basses, really. Of course this isn't the most expensive bass you'll find and if you compare it to the price it's actually a great bass! If you check out the more expensive ESP/LTD models you'll find them awesome... beats the hell out of Ibanez.

5 strings, 24 frets, volume knob, 2 tone knobs, midrange knob, 2 soapbar passive pickups, basswood body, i dont know what the neck is made of, Satin grey finish on the body and natural finished neck. The only thing I dont like about the craftsmanship is the nut. The nut has very sharp corners on it... When playing, I cut the side of my index finger on it when I slid my hand down the neck real fast. But I filed down the corners on it and now it isnt a problem.

I play mostly punk and metal and this bass is awesome. The only thing I dont like about it is I'm used to playing a 4-string and on a 5-string the strings are a little closer together which makes it harder to play sometimes... but other than that its cool. The pickups seem to have very high output; its a lot louder than the Yamaha bass I had, and has a lot more *oomph* and "punch". Very nice for slap bass.

The action is fairly low, which is good. The overall setup was very nice to begin with, actually. When I go it I had to make a little change on the intonation but that was all. The finish is cool, satin grey with chrome hardware. Very nice looking.

Well if it was stolen I think I would buy it again. This is a very nice 5-string for the money. Not expensive at all, and it plays and sounds much nicer than Fenders in my opinion (but then again I have never liked Fender). If it wasn't for that nut, I would give it a 10, but thats an easy problem to fix if the same thing happens to you.
