This Bass has great tone.
The active EQ is very powerful and well chosen frequencies
EMG pickups give quality tone and quiet operation
Very nice sustain and punchy clear sound
Action, Fit, & Finish

Bought the bass used, was setup nicely though...
Action is nice and low, very easy and comfortable to play
Neck is ruler straight (probably too much, will adjust)
Neck is fit perfectly, no seams or lumpy joints, solid construction
Body finish is very glossy and smooth with contours cut into many areas
This bass looks sexy with the tiger grain showing through wine red and black pearl hardware!!
I don't see any factory flaws under the finish, excellent quality control.
Only thing to report is the plating is wearing off on the face of the bridge from the previous owner. Typical cheap overseas plating, hence the score of 8 in this category...

Seems solidly made, It withstood a metal player playing the crap out of it for years (wearing of the bridge finish with pick hand)

Love ESP LTD guitars/basses, for their price range, you can't beat them.
