This bass is a true Les Paul type bass, more so than models offered by Gibson or Epiphone. Reason being the STOP TAIL BRIDGE. It really makes this bass sings with a piano like Rickenbacker tone. The ESP pu could use a little more clarity but is still really versatile.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Beautiful neck on this bass, the five piece walnut makes it feel very straight and stiff. And, the binding allows you to glide up and down with ease. The action was guitar like low to the board and minimum effort to fret.

This instrument looks gorgeous with its flame maple top but its meant to be played hard. The neck is stiffer than a steel pipe once again very Ric like. The finish was flawless and the binding, really digging the binding.

Ive been playing since 1979. I've own many instruments at various price points and quality. I started with a Fender P-bass and am current line is a 4003JG, Gibson SG Faded(brown) and the ESP LTD EC-254 with Ampeg amplification of course.
I wanted a LP type bass. I checked Gibson, Epi and Spector. I compared all their features and prices the best value and sound came from the ESP.
I am very lucky I stumbled upon this instrument, I wasn't look for it and probably don't need it but I could not pass on such an outstanding instrument especially since at was being discontinued for an inferior model which cost about the same with half the features.
If you have one you know what I am talking about.
