-Pretty sure it was made in 2001, and it might have been made in Korea, however I have heard that the elitists are made in Japan.

-24 frets. 5 strings.

-Solid top, a nice finish

-5 way selector switch

-Stop bottom, auto-tune bridge

-2 Volume controls and a tone control

-The default pickups are dual-rail pickups

-Active electronics

Sound : 9
-It well suits my style with steel-round strings (Metal, I know, what kind of metal player would use this site? :P)

-I use just an ODB3 Boss Overdrive Pedal with it generally

-Noisy on every setting, and it can be set for almost every type of music.

-Personally I don't think it sounds very good, UNLESS you have steel strings, then it is THE BEST BASS IVE EVER PLAYED

-From phat to funk sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
-Well set up, only compaint is that the bridge is not the highest quality, but it is BEAUTIFUL.

Reliability/Durability : 9
-Will withstand live playing

-Hardware will last, though I think I and most people would like to upgrade the hardware a bit

-Good finish, I just dont like finished basses because you can see all the nicks and dings.

-Strap buttons are very solid, just the default ones are a bit too big.

-Dependable. Neck and truss rod almost never needs to be adjusted.

-I don't care if you have the best guitar in the world, you never play a show without a backup. What kind of question is that? :p

Customer Support : No Opinion
-You can never contact Gibson, but what can you expect?

Overall Rating : 10
-Great guitar, been playing 3 years. Play through some big combo amps usually

-Should've asked more bout the hardware

-If it was stolen I would buy a new bass because im constantly evolving as a player, but i'd buy it again after that.

-I love the feel and flexability, very comfortable although topheavy.

I think this bass was made in 2001. Neckthru, mohogony wood. This bass is an ellite series. Phuqin bad ass. IT beat out the Specter i was going to buy. 5 string, stop tail peice tune-o-matic bridge (how many of those have you seen an a bass), volume, tone, 5way slelcter switch (yes 5 way), 2 soap bar puckups. The set up is nice. Might want to vchange hte pickups and straplocks though.

Phuqin balls to the wall. All you need is to adjust the bridge to what you like. At time it can have a warm tone, or a dark sinister sound... it all depends on you playing style. With pickups that are standard you can play most styles. the 5 way makes for a lot of diffent sounds to.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Black baby. All you need is to adjust to you playing style.

Reliability/Durability : 9
THis bass is bad ass. it can handle it all. THough it is a bit neck heavy but makes for a good bass if you have fat fingers (its the only 5 string i can fit my finger in between the stings w/out buying a custome made bass). IT has never broke down yet, and i think it wont.
