No idea when it was made - guessing it was 1979ish.
Black double cut with two humbuckers, three point bridge
Certainly feels solid ...very heavy for such a small body...like playing a Les Paul with bass strings

Sound : 9
BIGASS mean growl

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
I'm Gene in a KISS tribute and had a white binding added to look like his custom Lobou bass
Unfortunately, mine has delveloped a bad neck bow - I only use it now for the blood spitting part of the show as the intonation is screwed...check out www.coldgin.com for some pics.

Reliability/Durability : 7
Its one tough customer and if I spent a few hundred to have the neck heat pressed, it may actually be a decent bass
It is relegated to being a third spare now behind a Gene Punisher, an Axe and a Gibson Ripper...though again it does get bloody every time I play.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No comment - never tried

Overall Rating : 8
I've had it since 1980 and it has always been a spare.
I'm amazed they NEVER appear on ebay
Mine is built like a tank and has always been there when I needed it - even when I snapped the headstock off, it was onstage the next night thanks to some epoxy and a hair-dryer.
A rare and little known bass (try to find some info on them!!), I would highly recommend them if you can find them...read the reviews on the 6 string model, they stack up against any lawsuit Les Paul

I've been playing for 20 years.
I can compare it with other Gibsons like The Ripper.
Very heavy instrument.
