This is the Paul Revere & The Raiders model, which accounts for why most of the ones you see are cherry red. Has a solid mahogany body, single pickup, rosewood neck, volume & tone controls, nickel-plated hardware, string guard and a mute bridge.

Mine has a DiMarzio Model one pickup on it and flat-wound stainless strings. I play it through an Ampeg V4B head and either 4-12" or 8-10" speaker cabinet. Even at low volumes it has enough power to take over the band's sound. With the setup I have, the sound is never bright or twangy, you know this is a bass, not a low-tuned guitar.

The reason I bought this particular bass was for the feel. Great balance. The neck is thin & narrow compared to others I've played. Perfect for playing really fast.

I have played this bass for 37 years! The only problem I ever had with it was that the fretboard came loose from the neck once. I think it's amazing. I played a show, drove halfway across the country, let it sit for two weeks, took it out of the case & it was still in tune. Mine has the patina of age on it; ring wear on the neck, belt buckle wear on the body & a number of dents & scrapes. I replaced the strap buttons with screws long ago, now my strap is permanently attached and never comes loose. I would never play a gig without a backup guitar - ever!

I own a total of 8 basses. Most I use for their particular sound in the studio. This one is my absolute favorite, it works well in both studio & live service. If I lost it, I would be devastated, but I would have to turn to one of my other 2 just like it. The batwing head looks very cool, but it is long & can be clumsy on stage, especially when low ceilings are involved.
Sorry if this review sounds too glowing, but I absolutely love this guitar.

1968 - 30 1/2 inch scale - one neck humbucker, tone & volume control. Set Neck. "Fenderish" shaped body. 6 in line "batwing" headstock.
Except for the headstock and body shape it's a Gibson EB-0. Same neck wood, finish, construction and pickup.
Nothing at all like an Korean Made Eppiphone EB-0

Sad, mysterious, booming low bass. Read the reviews for Gibson EB-0

Low action, 30 1/2 " scale - easy for us smaller types.
Deep Cheery Red finish over mahogany

It's a '68 - still alive.
Has all the weaknesses of an 68 SG - same neck design. Not for jumping around, or use as a war club, or slap.

I'm new to bass - thats why I'm sending you to the Gibson EB-0 page.
That's its closest relative. These are old and rare. Nothing at all like the Korean Made Eppi EB-0.
