Hollowbody bass guitar, similar to the original Rivoli, but this has a bridge pickup. Includes a pickup selector (either or both) and a pushbutton that modifies the tone. In my opinion, one setting was "good tone" and the other was "thin crappy tone". Also has tone knobs per pickup and volume per pickup. Fairly short scale compared to a P-bass.

The sound on this was amazing. Very warm, very defined, very distinctive, especially when played with a pick. The sound made it very difficult to get rid of.

Bridge is not really well attached to the body. When I got it (it was brand new from old stock), the bridge was seriously coming out of the body. I had to have it glued back in. THe action was decent, though there were numerous buzzes that couldn't be worked out after a neck adjustment and action adjustments. The action high up on the neck wasn't great. The finish was very nice and the bass looked amazing.
I must say that I found this bass IMPOSSIBLE to play. The neck is much heavier than the body, meaning that you will expend noticable effort holding the bass up while playing it, as the neck weighs it down quite a bit. Also, the bridge is in the middle of the body, which is not normal for most basses, and as such, I couldn't play it without significant adjustment to my style. It was very awkward.
Furthermore, the pickup height was so bad that the pickup's magnets would periodically attract the string and cause loud distorted thumps to come out. Easily adjustable, but fairly annoying for a brand-new bass.
I ended up selling this bass because it was so unplayable, even in a seated position.
Reliability/Durability

Seemed durable, though being a hollowbody, I'd guess it to be more tempramental than a solid body.

This bass sounds great, but was horrendously unplayable. If you have never played a hollowbody bass before, I highly recommend doing so before buying. You may hate it as much as me and be out several hundred bucks.
