4 strings, 34" scale, 2 J-style pick-ups, 2 volume pots, 1 tone pot. Black pickguard on black with what a laminated body. Rosewood fretboard, 20 frets. No shielding.
Bridge has 4 brass sadles with a sharp edge that will cause string breakage as soon as you dig in... a little file solved a lot of problems.

Sound : 6
Good sound, very noisy, even with both pickups at full volume. Basic meat and potatoes kind of bass.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
Can't remember, it's been 18 years since I bought it and I didn't know much at the time!

Reliability/Durability : 8
Reasonable. The neck broke after a tacking a plunge one night my brother walked in our room in the dark. Got it fixed but recently it broke again, same spot. Other than that, the thing is still going...

This was my first bass. It was my only bass for five years and I even recorded with it. It was an ideal starter bass, but eventually you outgrow it. A little shielding would have done a lot of difference.

1993 made in korea with a white cream finsih. 2 passive jazz style pick ups. @ volumes 1 tone. AWSEOME bad ass brass bridge. Adjusting it is a snap. The neck is a cross between a p-bass and a jazz. The body is very p-bassish. Theese listed at 400$ new.

Sound : 8
Pretty good sound for the price. Fits well with rock and can be used with jazz because of the jazz style pickups. Definatly better onstage then studio. The single coils are a bit noisy. This thing has a lot of snarl with the tone cranked up. When you turn the tone down you get a nice smooth bottom, but not without a little snarl.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The action was complete shit when i got it, but after setup i got the action very good. Between medium and low. i love the neck plays like a dream. finsh is tough. I have put some chips in it, but this instrument has seen abuse that most wont. Very unique looking headstock too. It weighs about 9 pounds.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This thing is built tough. I have dropped it more than 100 times and it still wotks great. This bass will live forever.

I have been playing for about 2 years and just recently bought an ibanez atk 300 ( great bass) I own a ampeg B100r combo and a peavey basic 112. I got a fender imitation bass from a relative and hated it and went and bought this. It is far superior. It is my friend. While not as nice as my atk i still love it. I would never sell it. If you are a reletive beginer lokking for a coll bass you jsut found it.
