This is a NOS 55 USA Precision from the Custom Shop.
The body is select Alder with a one piece maple neck.
Colour is Vintage White (see tru nitro laquer)
Bass comes with a very nice vintage tweed case and all the goodies such as the skirts (covers), strap and the CS certificate.
Passive electronics with a very nice single coil pu with clothwiring.
The neck is beautifull figured and the bass is very light.
All is build very authentic with original tooling.
Bridge is a twin saddle and the frets are vintage with is very thin.

This 55 P Bass is one of my collector items which gets a lot of
playingtime nowadays. I also have a 51 RI and a Sting which are nice to but the sound and the weight of the 55 beats them.
No problems with the single coil when on stage with lighting etc.
It has this rich, full sound which is all I need to get tru in the mix.
I own about 15 Fender basses of different years and also a 72 P-bass.
But this bass is special to me, it has so much vibe you don't believe
how it is possible to get such a fantastic sound from such a simple bass.
Leo had it all figured out, this never comes a second time.
The one thing i dislike is that you have to put it down after a gig.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The bass came to Holland directly from Midtown Music in Georgia
and was set up very nice for a new bass.
As you all know every bassplayer has it's own preferences about setups so mine is a very low action without rattles.
So I had to ajust the neck a bit and I pushed up the A and D pole
of the Pickup. I tried this with the oyher 50's I have and this worked out nice.
I personaly dislike the PU cover but I will let the bridgecover on.
I only put the on for showing of this piece of history.

It's a like a sherman tank!!
Build to last a 100 years.
I never use this one on a gig only for rehersals.

I don't understand how a US company sells so many guitars while being so arrogant to it's customers.
If I would have so many customers for my bussines and act this way,
I could never look them in the eyes again.
I don't thing Mr.Fender would aprove this.
Fender: spend your revenues on your aftersales instead of making
60th aniversary models and 23 differtent strats.

I play Fender since 1979 and collect only the best Fenders around.
If it was stolen I order a new one on the spot.
Love makes blind so I like Fender basses a lot and ofcourse my Stingrays are also very nice guitars but The Fender basses are my favourite ones.
