Features : 5
not a lot of features...1 volume..1 tone..1 pickup..and a really useful feature of S1 switching, which connects the split coil p/up from series to parallel connection...which provides a very good jazz bass sound..the best feature is the 1962 vintage pickup..all precisions dont sound the same ...the timbers are custom shop quality and this one has been put together perfectly..came with a custom built case which is a feature in its self...as i said not a lot of features but as i have found out ..a good bass does not need a lot of features to sound superb ..just good tone timbers.... good setup ....and a good passive pickup

Sound : 10
i played bass back in 1972 , traded my drums in on a brand new 1972 usa precision ..then turned to guitar ..and have played guitar since..how ever i needed to play bass as our bass player left and we decided to go three piece, with me on bass..after trying all the modern bass with active pickups/EQ...i knew there was something wrong ..i could not get a sound i was happy with..UNTIL a picked up a USA Precision...WOW ..this is it. i traded my ibanez SRX 700 (which is a beautiful instrument)for it ...what i got was the tone that had been missing...bass guitars dont need processing with active EQ...the tone gets killed ..sure they make bass sound... but all the tone is gone..then i picked a 60th anniversary precision...WOW ..i could not believe the extra bottom end and richer tone ...this bass is a total TONE machine ...i cannot believe that i started on precision in 72 to only be back on one and find it perfect for me...modern is not better....when it comes to basses

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
perfect finish...custom shop quality here...fender must have put in a bit of interest in making of these basses (or mine is just a good one)set up was good ..just raised the strings a bit and fine tuned the intonation..for the price this model is a bargain..custom shop quality timbers...custom shop case..vintage 62 pickup ...the action is another plus for me...the trend for skinny narrow necks..to me...dont make the bass comfortable to play..i find my hand lasts longer when i play because the chunky neck gives my wrist support...

Reliability/Durability : 10
all good...perfect live bass..built like a tank..put on strap locks ...glued in the screws..these strap locks are going no where

Customer Support : No Opinion
not needed

Overall Rating : 10
there is not one thing i would change ..beautiful instrument..amazing custom case...the best passive sound available....it does not get any better than this ...i should have just bought a Precision in the fist place and saved a lot of money...i just thought that all these new MODERN basses were the way to go..I JUST LOVE MY 60th DIAMOND ANNIVESARY PRECISION
