I play jazz. I like to mix every style in improvisation (from punk to latino). Funny thing - I always thought that 'jazz bass' is the instrument for jazz, but I was wrong. P-bass (after 13 years of playing different, mainly active, bases, acoustics, fretless and even uprights) is the only true answer for every true kind of music. It is the INSTRUMENT. Other basses don't give you this scale of sound possibilities. It's hard to start - but working with sound on p- gives you big pleasure. It's even not so hard to get Jaco's sound (without bridge pickup!). I plug it into markbass combo with 12" speaker - ammount of possibilities! Very rich deep bass with playing upright-like (under last frets), warm and good for rnb - playing in front of pickup. Very good (i think even better than Rick) for pick players. You can have e v e r y sound with two knobs - remember 'bout muffle technicques - this bass will increase it. Other thing is to remember that there is no need to play with volume knob on maximum - sound depends of this little two knobs and your amp reacts in different ways.

The factory set was surprisingly good. Pickup has very strong signal - but as I sad - volume knob can be very useful tool.
Blizzard perl finish is just great!!!

The bridg is not the best one (G string - you know it is moving, meabe not too much but it's good to know that), but i don't want to loose my sound of this bass so i'm not going to change it to another. I'm using my P- without any backup.

My dealer was very friendly. I've bought new guitar in a very low price. Thanks!

Very short: it's the best bass I've ever had. If it was stolen- it would be very hard to find another one sounding so good.

not a lot of features...1 volume..1 tone..1 pickup..and a really useful feature of S1 switching, which connects the split coil p/up from series to parallel connection...which provides a very good jazz bass sound..the best feature is the 1962 vintage pickup..all precisions dont sound the same ...the timbers are custom shop quality and this one has been put together perfectly..came with a custom built case which is a feature in its self...as i said not a lot of features but as i have found out ..a good bass does not need a lot of features to sound superb ..just good tone timbers.... good setup ....and a good passive pickup

i played bass back in 1972 , traded my drums in on a brand new 1972 usa precision ..then turned to guitar ..and have played guitar since..how ever i needed to play bass as our bass player left and we decided to go three piece, with me on bass..after trying all the modern bass with active pickups/EQ...i knew there was something wrong ..i could not get a sound i was happy with..UNTIL a picked up a USA Precision...WOW ..this is it. i traded my ibanez SRX 700 (which is a beautiful instrument)for it ...what i got was the tone that had been missing...bass guitars dont need processing with active EQ...the tone gets killed ..sure they make bass sound... but all the tone is gone..then i picked a 60th anniversary precision...WOW ..i could not believe the extra bottom end and richer tone ...this bass is a total TONE machine ...i cannot believe that i started on precision in 72 to only be back on one and find it perfect for me...modern is not better....when it comes to basses

perfect finish...custom shop quality here...fender must have put in a bit of interest in making of these basses (or mine is just a good one)set up was good ..just raised the strings a bit and fine tuned the intonation..for the price this model is a bargain..custom shop quality timbers...custom shop case..vintage 62 pickup ...the action is another plus for me...the trend for skinny narrow necks..to me...dont make the bass comfortable to play..i find my hand lasts longer when i play because the chunky neck gives my wrist support...
