Fender Squier Jazz bass Silver Series, made in Japan 1992.
4 string bass, Controls , V.V.T. , passive electronics.
Massive body, Neck maple, finish black.

Sound : 10
This is a very, very good build Japanese Jazz bass . I play all kinds of musicstyles with it and play on a Trace Elliot 715.
The sound of the stock pick ups are a little dark and muddy.
If this bass has the right pick ups (I already ordered S.Duncans Antiquity's) )it will definately sound great, because the wood in itself is very resonant and sounds great. I give it a 7 for stock pickups, for the neck (straight as an arrow and very good made) and body I give a 10.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I don't know about the factory set-up because I bought it second hand. But,I lowered the strings and it has a great action now, no string buzz at all.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Everything, till now on, seems to be great in reliability and durability, no complains at all.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with the company.

Overall Rating : 9
I play Bass since 1966, had a 1970 Fender Jazz Bass and more than a dozen other basses.
If you do not have a lot money to spent, consider a Fender/Squier Japanese bass from the JV, SQ or Silver series. The JV's are absolutely great, and with other pickups (duncans), the SQ and Silver series are also a great value for the money.
