I like the sound I play alot of classic sounding stuff and i touch on a bit of jazz stuff, i've used it with my uncles amp its a big peavey thing i'm not to sure...i've just started playing about a year ago.
really deep low sound..i love it. not a great slap bass, i've had some problems with the frets buzzing but its a cheap bass so nothing to much to expect.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
i love the humbucker pickup, i've played a couple different basses i'll never go away from my humbucker, tuning pegs were loose at first.
it is a hard bass to play sitting down but standing up its a very easy to get around the neck.

Reliability/Durability : 4
this bass IS a backup it good and i love it but its not the best....if you're going on stage...look for a used musicman stingray (this one is the replica) its gonna rock alot harder and stronger.
i've only had mine a little while and it scratches VERY easy. strap buttons are pretty good size so your strap doesn't fall THAT often. i've had it a year here in Winnipeg where the climate changes ALOT and its stayed pretty straight.

This Bass was made in 2003. It has a laminated top with a single Humbucker pickup. It has a maple neck and is similar to a Fender P-bass. It's got a black and white finish with a tone and volume control. There were no added accessories. The tuners are non-locking

This bass suits my musical style of alternative rock and southern rock. I am only using a Behringer 15-watt practice amp and it gets great sound even if the volume is wide open. I have only been playing bass for a year and this was my first bass.

LIKES: I like how easy it is to hold and the position of the neck. One can easily maneuver around the neck and get to those lower frets without needing to change hand positions. Sounds good and picks up good low tones. Isn't much difference between it and a Fender P-Bass. It stays in tune very well. I also liked the fact that I got it on sale from $339 to $130 due to a liquidation sale at my local music store.

DISLIKES: It is not a good instrument if you want to play slap or pop style. It doesn't get good action for it. I would like the E-string to be a little throatier and the chord connection will come loose and needs to be tightened every now and then. If you are in a sitting position, it is difficult to hold. Much better if standing and playing. Would like it to have to pickups and three volume and tone controls. It is a little on the heavy side.

This is a great bass for the stage and for a beginner to intermediate player on a budget. However, if you can afford more a name brand product, I would.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
The bass does not contain any noticeable flaws. The body is keeping its shine.

Reliability/Durability : 8
The hardware seems like it will last. I take care of it and don't bang it a lot, however my cat knocked it off the stand and it didn't seem to bother it. The strap buttons are solid and it is a dependable bass/

Haven't had to deal with the company.

If it were stolen or lost, I would probably buy a Fender now that I can afford and have improved to an intermediate player. I compared it to The Fender Squire bass and an Ibanez and thought it sounded better. There isn't a lot of ping and plays cleanly for the most part. I hate how it has the large Slammer logo on the headstock. It's pretty cheesy since most people have never heard of Slammer because it is a by product of Hamer.
