I beleive it was made in the mid-90s. Has a P style front pick-up with a single coil in the back. Both are EMG select pick-ups and are passive. Has 2 volume knbs and one tone. Body shape is like a Fender p-bass copy with a J pick-up added. Very basic design, very simple.

Sounds good for what I use it for, which is just about every type of music. The EMG pick-up seem to give it a solid tone, but it is a little bright over all. Still sounds great.

Action is a little low for my taste (hard to pluck with-out hitting the pick-ups) but is not that big of issue. the Action is great thogh, it is fairly low and being a Les Paul player that is good for me. The finish is fine it is a solid black, but the dumb ass before me tried to paint black skulls on it so those are a little ugly.

I have dropped this thing about a dozen times and it is still in tune and playes great. the pots need cleaned up a little (they crackle) but it seems to be holding up fine.

I managed to get a good practice bass for $50 out of a school paper. It is a good bass to learn on with it being so simple. Active pick-ups would be nice, but the passive EMGs give it a good warm feeling, but is just a little bright for somethings. I would recomend this bass for a beginner or someone needing a practice bass.

my other bass is the recently acquired beatle bass copy from Rogue.I dig it...but it's quite different from this one in sound and feel.

It suits my needs. I can do slapping on it as well as jazz.
The noise is not too bass, very clear sound.

The pick-up are optimal.
The only problem was the volume pot that was no good, replaced it.
The wood is heavy and pretty tough.
