Nice bass, 22 frets (i converted mine to a fretless and it sounds awesome). Fishman pickups, three band eq, shape, phase. I've found I have to bring the highs down because it can get a little tiny. Crome hardware; never had any problems with the tuners. The neck isn't really thin but its not uncomfortable.

Sound : 7
It's great for the stuff I play (mostly jazz) because it is acoustic after all. I'm using a beringer ultrabass 600 andI get acceptable sound. Never had a problem with noize. It hass great lows but like I said the highs are a little tiny so I bring them down to 40 percent.
From my experience its better for studio but I haven't played out much with it. I don't recommend trying to slap this bass because you don't get a very pleasing tone; all slap and no note.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The action is superb, I expected an acoustic to have higher action than an electric, but there's not much difference. There was a dead frett, the 13th, on the d and a strings, but it was easily fixable.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I left this bass in a cold room for a month this past winter. It got all out of wack and was buzzing all over the place. But, a couple of months later, when it got warmer, it was fine again. Guess the lesson there is: don't leave your instrument in a really cold room. duh!
It only has a strap button on the bottom and I had to tie the other end to the head.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't dealt with ibanez.

Overall Rating : 8
I've had this bass for about 13 months now and I've actually abused it. But it's still working as well as when I bought it. If it were lost or stolen I probably would buy something else, just because I like trying different brands.

I recommend to all bass players that they get an acoustic bass just because you end up practicing more. It's easier to sit on the couch with an acoustic than to have to set up your gear.

You can use this Bass with any style of music. I use it acoustically most of the time. However, I plug it into my Fender BXR60 on occasion and it sounds great. Not noisy at all. You can get any sound you want out of this bass. I play mostly Rock and metal but it can do it all.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The action was great. It was different from my electric Ibanez bass. Took a few days to get used to. Nice action in deed. I have never had a problem with this bass as long as I have owned it. The finish was and is mint.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This bass doesn't have a dent, scratch, scrap or dent on it. Very solid and durable. It is Very dependable.

I did not deal with Ibanez. But, I did deal with Guitar Center and they have always done right by me.

Overall Rating : 10
I would give it a 9 and a half. But they do not have that rating. This Bass is outstanding. I have been playing Bass for about 2 years. I recently switched to playing guitar exclusively. Other than the Ibanez acoustic AEB45 I own an Ibanez soundgear sr485 electric 5 string bass, Fender BXR60 bass amp, Ibanez SA160 electric guitar, Ibanez AEF37 acoustic guitar and a Marshall lead 15 micro stack guitar amp. Ibanez makes good reliable products and they sound great! My next guitar will either be a schecter with the abalone binding, a Les Paul or a PRS.
