Made in 2008. The ATK3EX1 was made esspecialy,for Guitar Center. It is pretty much the same thing as the ATK300, butt has a graphite nut and a few other perks. Made in Indoneisa. It is a short scale solid top with a 3 band active eq, bass, mid and treble. It also boasts a 3 way tone character switch. One triple coil Ibanez active pick up. Is centered by a massive chrome bridge. With a maple neck and a rosewood fretboard. with the oversized flat tuning machines. And a string thru or off the bridge style it is a great bass for the price tag.

It suits my musical style excellent. Metal to jazz to punk to fusion. It is a very versatile bass. When the treble is turned up all the way you get a loud hiss. Witch you get that w most usually it is the amp.It has a very brite sound. With the GHS boomers long scale plus for the trough body design. I like everthing but the treble hiss and its a very sturdy heavy bass.

This bass. Was setup wonderfully from the store. The pickup was right on the action on the E was a little high. It is easy to adjust. this is a very sturdy bass. There were no flaws or problems. Just a great bass alaround

This bass. will withstand a live playing. The hardware is very sturdy. It has a great finish. It is very dependable.It has never needed a adjustment. For the year or so that i have had it. Infact i have done several shows without a spare. It is very reliable and very sturdy.

In my short time playing. I have not played a bass. In the lower to mid price range. That i could compare to a higher end basses. this one is that bass. The cost of around five hundred or so you get way more bass than you pay for. A product that will last a lifetime. If it were lost or stolen I would not think twice about buying a new one. Its quality is surely out of its price range. I love my ATK and would not trade it for anything.
