2006 Iron Pewter Flat BTB300 Made in Korea. Bought it and it was a pretty well made, sturdy product. Agathis body, Long scale maple neck. Two passive pickups and an active EQ.

I tested this bass without plugging it into an amp and i guess i payed the price. The pickups are unequally proportioned in their sound no matter their height, you'll need a compressor. It supplies output similar to a passive bass so there is basically no point in putting a batter in there. I hate the pickups, gonna replace them with EMG's.They serve their basic purpose, so they'll get a fair grade.

The bass was setup well from the factory. I adjusted the height of the strings so it would accomodate me better. The only problem i have is that with normal guage strings (45-105) this thing is hard to pluck or pick. So I suggest lighter strings (40-95) so it wouldnt be such a strain due to the longer scale. The finish holds up well even though the sweat I leave on the body doesn't set in.

I have abused this bass by dropping it , banging it against a wall, and even slamming it against a wall and it still holds up and stays in tune. Very reliable for its price.

Been playing for 2 years and this was my second bass. It sure wasn't the holy grail but it is great to play and puts up with what i do to it without getting messed up. Only hate the pickups, but thats about it. Great bass.
