My EDB605 was made in 1999, in Korea. It's a 5 string work horse with 24 frets and a Luthite body in Gray Pewter. There's one volume, one bass, one treble, one mid, and one balance control. There's a dxh2n in the neck and a dxh2b in the bridge. It's totally active! Tons of punch! I don't know what material the neck is made out of, but whatever it is, it's great. It also came with a hardshell case.

The EDB605 can get you any sound virtually. It's the best sounding bass I've ever played. I play a wide variety from speed metal and hardcore to rock, blues, latin, and Primus.

Everything on the bass was great when I got and still is...except for one thing. the input jack keeps getting looser and looser. but i can fix that anytime i want, but it doesn't bother me. The body is great! It's made out of Luthite and doesn't leave any fingerprints when you touch it.

I got this bass around November '99 and probably use it a good 3-4 hours a day. It still plays the same as it did the first day I got it. I would definately play a show without a backup unless it was another EDB605.

I've been playing for 2 years and I play this through a hartke b60 and a Peavey TNT 115S. I would definately buy this again because it's the best bass I've layed my hands on. I love everything about it.

It's a 5 string bass with active electronics and 3 band EQ. 24 frets, solid-body, and locking tuners. The finish is gray pewter or white. It has a volume, bass, mids, treble and balancer knob. The balancer I think changes which pickup is selected but I could be wrong. Luthite body, rosewood fingerboard, not sure about neck material. Has a lot of great features for the price.

I play metal and hard rock, mostly metallica, sabbath, ozzy, motorhead, etc. I play this through a peavey combo 115. It has a very punchy and warm sound. You can get anything from a thin bright sound to a deep, thick sound. Using the EQ, you can get a wide variety of sounds. the balancer changes the tone even more. you can get an almost endless variety of sounds. There is almost no noise either. If you crank the treble youll get a slight hiss but thats about it.

I bought it used and when I got it, the setup was horrible. The strings were so high off the fretboard at the higher end that they were really hard to use. After I got it set up professionally, it is great. It buzzes at 2 or 3 frets but that is probably because the action is so low. The neck is pretty thin and really comfortable. It has an overall great feel. I think the original owner must have messed with the action before selling it but I dont know. The construction was pretty good too. The edge of the nut is a little sharp and there is some rust under the control knobs, but this might be from the previous owner. Other than that the construction is good. The finish is really smooth and even too.

Never had any problems here. The luthite body seems to stand up to abuse better than traditional body materials. I think it will be around for a while.

This bass was made in Korea. I'm not shure when it was made, but who cares. It is a 5-string bass with 24 frets. Made of luthite and it was given the shape to fit your body like a glove ( at least mine..) Anyone who posesses this bass is blessed with a 3-band equaliser (low, mid, high),a volume knob and a pickup balancer. You just can't wish to have anything more. Pickup configuration: dual soapbar with Ibanez pickups, i guess the pickups are passive, but the eq. uses a battery. The color is like metallic black or something, it's called grey pewter. The bridge is an accucast b25, rigid and good looking What else to say?

The sound is perfect and you can modify it in absolutely any way. I use it on a Marshall b65 amp for practice and it sounds just good, it may sound even better if I would buy a more powerful amp. I can't say this bass is noisy because it isn't. The sound it gives is very diverse, you can have a rich full(maybe too full) sound or just the opposite, as I explained, you can do almost anything with this bass. On stag performance is good, it's a good performing bass, and it looks good too, no dislikes.

When i bought the bass the action was perfect. And it still is, flying on the fretboard is easy to do, Ibanez made a really playable bass. Pickups were mounted correct en were also adjusted correct. The bass did not contain any flaws, everything was put together rigidly and the hardware was shining like a mirror.

It is a very rigid bass, i think it would still be in one piece after a collision with a schoolbus, I'm serious. If it were stolen i woul buy a new one instantly. Re-adjusting isn't really necessary, cause luthite doesn't really expand and bend like wood. I woul certainly use it on a gig without something that comes near to a backup.

I am really satisfied with this bass, if somebody would attempt to steal it i would just grab my other bass (Peavey) and beat him with it until he gave it back (undamaged of course)

This bass is packed with features. The body is made of Luthite which is a kind of graphite. It's made in Korea which may sound dodgy but I've had no problems except for slight wear on the fret bored. It's got twin humbucking pickups with a balance control between the two.

If you play metal like Korn or Limp Bizkit then this is the bass for you. It sounds amazing and hooked up with my commpresor pedal it sounds even better. It gives a real clean sound with no distortion.
