2000 Korean made 4 string acoustic bass. There is a piezo pickup with an on-board 4-band EQ. The top is Ash, with Mahogany back and sides. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, Abalone body and soundhole. The Gotho style tunes are gold-plated. Mine came with the hardshell case.

The JB Player was a real surprise to me. It sounded fine unplugged. Not the loudest acoustic bass guitar, but a very good sounding one. Plugged in this this is a tone monster! What a wonderful rich sound. This is the real bueaty of this bass. JB Player should market these things for stage acoustics. Tht sound beats acoustic bass guitars that are 3 or 4 times the price. It really is that good.

This bass arrived set up and ready to play. Intonation and string height were dead on. There were no finish flaws. The top is Ash and the finish is a hand rubbed black - very distinctive. For the price this bass is a sleeper.

I have played live without a backup. This bass is just that reliable. Like I said on stage this thing is a monster. It also has a very well constructed feel about it. I really don't know how to desctibe the feel, it just feels dependable.

I've been playing for 20 years. My other bass is my trusty Fender Jazz - that I wouldn't trade for anything! I play through a Crate 200 watt head into a Crate 15" cabinet - what a great bang for the buck, especially the bass gear.
If this bass were lost or stolen id definitly buy another.
