2005 4 String C-20 Jackson Concert Bass, 24 Jumbo Frets
Made in India. Solid Wood Body, transparent Color Finish. Jackson says current productions are Flame Maple Tops, but this one sure is not. Neck is unfinished (oil) Maple one piece.
Two Volumes and a tone. It was a V/M/T, but the mix pot went bad and teh Repair Tech said Jackson had no part (as with most import products, few have the poarts to repair their products) so we went with a second volume knob.
Must be why all current production is V/V/T.
Jackson's Pickups! This Bass through a Genz Benz ML200 with a 12" trnasducer, is waht sold me on Genz when I decided to get an amp again.
These pickup blow away a 9v pre-amp Bass all day long. Will hold its own against an 18v.
Look Out! P Neck pup and J Bridge pup.
Standard and well finished Bridge and Tuners, would like the turnes on the BTB's.
No Accessoried included

Did not like cheap components which needed repair within months.
This is great from Funk to Metal or just nasty Rock.
This bass is quiet in the noise realm, and powerful in the play mode.
I am playing all 5 and 6 string now so I do not expect to have this much longer.

Action and finish were fine.
Pups were THERE! Where they needed to be to make the bass rock.
Post were noisy.
Now the Action is super low and getting lower everytime I play it.

Structurally the Bass is sound. The moving electronic parts were questionable.
The instrument has never needed adjustment.
I would not gig w/o b/u since the pan pot died on me one day. Other than that little confidence killer, there is nothin wrong with the instrument.

They do not have replacement parts when I needed one.
The Music Store was a Service Center, so they made the switch of the pots.
One Year warranty.

I have been playing 31 years to date. I have other gear covered in my review of the Ibanez BTB455QM.
If I had known I would fall in love wiht 6 stings like I fantasized about in 1984 I would not have bought this Bass. yet, this Bass had a sound that stirred my heart and mind to play agian if not just more.
Such makes it a great beginner instrument.
The neck feels good, the balance and weight is fine. The tone is excellent.

This bass has made for Rock and Metal. You can make anything with the 3-band Eq from bright to Warm and growl. It has a rich sustain until its an bolt-on with quality of neck-tru. Im sure this bass is performe for any way of use. Its all the best from EMG!

Its pretty good setup but i have to reset the E-string a little higher at the bridge to make it a clear sound on the second and third fret.
The finish is awsome, i Love the mace inlays of it.

An Awsome Bass for low Money and good looking style. It has all you need for a great performence. Maybe it would be cool for a 5-string model, but 4 is always good too. I had a lot of basses, but this one is the master one! If it were stolen or lost, i would buy an other one!

The bass has a fairly warm sound to it. The only real complaint I have about the sound is that it rattles a little but not enough to really worry about.

I was really impressed with the finish. It looked a lot better than I origionally thought that it would. The wood and everything else seems to be of good quality.

I just began playing a few months ago so I don't gig with this bass. It has a nice finish that does not seem like it would wear easliy. It needs very little adjusting. I think I may have tuned it twice, including when it first arrived at my house.

If I lost this bass somehow I would get another one.
There is nothing that I really dislike about this bass. I think that it is one of the better basses that you could get for the money. It is nothing fancy but it is a great bass. Especially for beginners.

This bass is simple, its bottom end with your standard Pbass special set up. Ive had this bass about a year and its been my gig bass cause it just takes abuse. the tuners are strong and the bridge is one that i wish was in more basses cause it is so solid.

The Sound from this bass is pretty versatile. I play more guitar like chords so I had a problem getting really good highs from it. But when I was in a normal rock band and played average tone lines using a carvin r600 redline full stack it sounded good.

A pretty solid set up bass from factory i liked the action Im more of a high action person. The frets have held up pretty good for 4 hours a day every day and more on the weekend. The finish was the only problem i had with the bass when i first got it the finish around the endpin bubbled and cracked.

This bass would make a great back up bass for the player who gigs alot. Or a great practice bass for the beginer it takes a beating and just keeps playing its a solid bass. I wouldnt use this bass as my main at show without a backup only cause the number one rule of live music is always have a back up.

Ive been playing since 99 and before that i played guitar for 2 years. If this bass was lost going somewhere I would buy another just cause its a real solid back up bass. I love the action, neck and bridge on this bass. I dont like the finish and horn length.

The features on this bass seem quit basic there are two volue controls one for the high end and one for low end tone. There is also another tone controle. The pickups are ok but I wouldn't mind replaceing them. The machine heads are tight and stay in tune. Everything is solid and basic! which is not a bad thing... it still has a good range of sound. The neck is a little thick and makes it hard to play if you ware your bass low.
Sound

The sound seems good. There is a good range from high to low tones. I have a problem when I set the tone too high, there seems to bee a small buzzing sound. But then I lower the tone it goes away and sounds very nice. You can get high bouncy sounds out of this bass. Like I said the pickups are ok, but are good for the price of the bass.

The finise is fine, nothing special but nothing to cry about. The bass leans wel and feels cofortable. The action is not the best, only due to the fat neck.

The bass is built strong and plays well. The only problem I have is the tone controle coming loose every once a month. this body is light and holds good even on the biggest jumps

Its an awesome bass for funk, rock, r&b
I use this bass with a snarling dog wah
Its not really that noisy
i like the sound of the bass but the wide neck kinda sucks. The body is a nice shape to. Its got the perfect neck though for sliding up and down in funk.

The only bad thing about this bass is the neck to the body. If you turn the bass over there is a part of the bass that should be filled in, but, NO BIGGY!

After you use the bass for a while the jack starts to get screwed up and fall out, but can be fixed easily. I personally had a bad experience with the bass while playing live. Basically the jack screws fell out and we had to put tape around the Jack to keep it from falling out. and also my strap disconnected from the bass (this was after being used for a year)

Ive been playing for about 2 years. I also own 2 electric guitars and an acoustic guitar. I own a yamaha keyboard, a piano, a wah, 4 mics,5 piece drum set, set of bongos, 6 harmonicas, a vioin and more.
If it was stolen or lost I probably would buy another Jackson.
I love the sound and the slippery neck. I compared it to a fender bass. I HATE FENDER BASSES THEY SUCK THEY HAVE HUGE BODYS AND HUGE NECKS AND ALSO SOUND TERRIBLE!!!!
