Four strings. 21 frets. Alder jazz bass style body with a nice quilt maple top. EMG 35p and 35j 18v pickups are stock with this bass. Bolt on maple/rosewood neck. Very cool Fiberglass nut.

Great sound! This bass covers it all.I play rock mostly but have used this bass in the studio on many occasions with many kinds of music and it always gets compliments on it's great sound. Great walking tones. Great slap sound. Very versitile. I am super picky about dead spots and this bass sounds exactly the same on every fret.

When I first got this bass I had a hard time playing it because it played too easy. The action was lower and easyer to play without any buzz or noise than any bass I had ever played. The neck is kind of wide like a P bass which I usualy would hate but it just played so easy I loved it. I have a hard time going back to other basses in any price range. This kind of sucks because I read about all of these great basses and when I get a chance to try them out they don't compare. I did have a problem with battery compartment. One of the batteries would not get a good contact and make a cool distortion effect. I adjusted the contact and it solved the problem.

I have used this bass for about five years of hard gigging and it has held up great. I think I have only adjusted the truss rod once. I have used it several times without a backup.

I love this bass so much I named my son (Jackson) after it. I can't say enough good things about these basses. They are totaly proffesional instruments.I have used this bass with many amps in many places and it always sounds consistant. It gives me sounds that I just can't get out other basses.
