P and J-bass pickups thin, fast neck, fixed bridge great tuners stays in tune even after days of use.

Between P and J pickups you can get any sound from grit to grind to slap and pop or just smooth tone. Very dynamic and responsive p-ups.

both of them are made in Japan, both in 2000.
when then left the factory they both were black, but the 2nd i got is natural now.
it has 3 controls, balance-volume-tone
Duncan designed jazz&precision pickups, wich in my opinion are GREAT, almost every tone you want you can get.

the necks are hard rock maple i was told and the body is poplar,BUT: the boy is treated with some sort of filler and it's laminated with another kind of wood. the poplar is in 4 pieces.

the bridge is string through, tuners are jackson but they have never failed me, it stood in it's case(homemade) for about 3 monts and it still was in tune.

nice n lovely thin neck, nice fretboard.

and i LOVE the kelly look.

Sound : 10
I used both kelly's in several different occasions, the feel & mojo of this bass is super. the jazz pickup gives feedback with VERY high volume and/or an high gain fuzz.
it's usable for every style, but the looks arent suitable for every gig.
the blond one is a bit more clear sounding then the black one, probably because the strings are younger.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
setup @ factory, got no clue.

when i got them they werent great.
i got the first at a wel know luthier(Wim Heins in Sneek/holland)
an i fell in love AGAIN.

the second one(blond) i did it myself, the bass had some terrible damage on the body. fixxed that and now its lovely.

downsides
- it's "top-heavy" the neck dives, you can fix it by putting the strapholder on the neckplate(lowest close to the neck)
- you can't comfortably sit with it.

Reliability/Durability : 10
this bass can take alot, not everything, bit stil alot.

i would certainly use it without a backup, i got 2 so I always take a backup with me.

Customer Support : No Opinion

This bass is awsome. It has a bolt on maple neck with covered tuners, a poplar body (with great tone), Duncan designed pickups, and an awsome tone

Sound : 10
This bass can be use for any tone. The pickups are awsome. I've playd G&L, modulous, Ernie Ball, and the like which can cost thousands. This bass is up with the rest of them.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The Action is awsome, this is because of the string through body. The bass came perfectly set up. The pickups distance from the strings is perfect. I have never heard of any nexk problems with this bass. It is as straight as... (well you get the point). The bridge is awsome. It never comes out of tune, EVER. The controls are awsome.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This bass is as reliable as having gas after eating baked beans. It will never fail you. I have gigged several times, and never a problem. If this bass were stolen, i would pay LIST price for a new one. I LOVE IT.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 10
I love this bass as I earlier mentioned. This is the best way to go for anyone. I love everything about it, there is nothing to hate. I chose it because it played and plays like a dream. If you can Find one under $600. Get it. These are awsome, Jackson's best yet.
