It's a jazz clone, albeit with pick-ups covered with metal plates like the pick-ups you usually find on Gibson LesPauls.
I don't remember going gaga over the finish but neither do I remember anything really bad.

played it through a dean markley 20w practice amp. Muddy and unarticulated.

the neck was slightly warped and the nut was so badly cut that I had to tie a rubberband behind the nut and around the E-string to keep it from not flying out of the slot.

This bass is a jazz bass remake, i have no idea what year it is, but i do know that it is a 20 fret 4 string solid top beauty. Two single coil pickups each with a tone and volume knob. Maple neck with ebony fingerboard, and mahogony body

I play funk and jazz
no amp effects
no noise whatsoever from it
Punchy thisk sound, very warm
With the separate pickup volume knobs you can change the sound from a wide variety of stlyes
it is better for live thatn studio
i like it all

The factory set up was okay, i had to fix the action but now this baby is one of the best actioned basses ive played
the pickups are fine, never really needed to adjust them
The only problem i encountered was that the tuning pegs were very difficult to turn

This bass will absolutely withstand live playing, the hardware is very durable, the finish is thick and can take a good smackin, strap buttons are rock solid, this is the most dependable bass ive played, never have to adjust the truss rod, and i would never need to bring a back up bass

I have been playing bass for 13 years, and the only other basses i own is a home made fretless bass, a warwick corvette standard and a warwick thumb bass, all four string. It my kasuga was stolen i would first find the punk who took it, kill him and keep playing my baby, but if i couldnt find the bass theif than i would give an arm and a leg to find another. The thing i love most about this bass is that i can throw him around kick him, use him as a shovel, comb my hair with him and still plug him in and beat the tone and quality of a warwick. I have played a lot of basses in my time, and nothing compares to the beauty and spiritualness of my kasuga.
