I use this thing with a Kreuger 200 watt bass amp. Its gets a massive low end sound. Have gigged regularly and he thing sounds awsome. It has a big fat wide neck and frest so if thats how you like to play(likeme) then its an awsome bass full stop. I got this one from a hock shop years ago and its in perfect condition and built so well it will last forever. I use it to record as well and goes pretty well in that environment-best is to mic an amp. direct with a DI suchas a sansamp is awsome.

Action is high and wide on mine so really gives the hand a good work out. but the sounds I get on this are awsome-cuts through 2 marshall stacks easily!!

I,d say the thing is over 30 years old - will last another 100 years easily. built like a tank

I think this was is an early seventies one made in Japan.
Simple split pickup with 2 volume pots. Really easy to use and sounds great

I use this for home recording my stuff. Mostly folky rock stuff.
I run the kasuga into a behringer v-amp and then into a small tube preamp and get pretty good results.
