Made in Chicago in 1959. NO frets!! single cutaway. Laminated flamed maple top, sides; arched back. Hollow body except for massive "support" beam in middle. Single coil Kay lipstick near neck, custom Piezzo bridge by Hugh McFarland...Giant Grover (maybe) tuners..32" scale on skinny , baseball bat neck.

Big brooding Chicago blues bass sound...blend in the piezzo for Willie Dixon clicking noises!! with Thomastik strings it sounds HUGE.

Hugh McFarland set up this $90 wonder and it play like Butta.. and looks very cool...actually almost MODERNE'.

actually, there's a LOT of peoples who know Kay out there, you just got to FIND them...start at Subway in Kal, and woik your way around.
