This is a 4 string kay tulip shaped bass, This thing looks its age, I think this bass was made around 1965 to 1969 japan, The controls are single volume, single tone, one single coil silver pickup, It has 20 frets on a Laminated 30''short scale neck, Rosewood fret board, the body is thin and Laminated as well, Body style is tulip shaped, pretty cool. It has a sunburst Finish

Ok this is where it all matters, I'm a guitar player and I wanted a bass for my pc home studio, i wasn't looking for somthing fancy, this thing needed some serious work done to it the dust it had told me its been sitting a long time, after workin and setting it up, this little tulip put out some rumble, Very vintage indeed, was pretty shocked it would sound this good, the single pickup has a Bright full sound, through my tube amp, sound great through solid state as well. the volume works fine and the tone dose not do to much but both work fine enough for me, Now this thing can do what i want it todo i record gospel, rock style, i think somthing like this is good for studio or just starting out on bass,

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
setup was bad when i got it,
the pickup was fine as was the tone pot,
the volume pot i had to replace cuz it was brokin inside it
was easy fix tho, neck had a bow in it, got that fixed up,

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I'm a guitar player so i wouldn't use it live, the
hardware is is rather old and the finish seems thin
and would be easy to wear off in time.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Ive been playing guitar over 15 years, I play fender telecaster through crate amp, I've owned diffrent marshalls amps, hiwatt, fender amps, fender guitars, eppihone guitars, danelectro, I use 12 string acoustics as well six string, If this bass were stolen or lost, I would try for somthing else, Its kinda cool for what it is tho, I just like the fact it gives me the bass sound and low thump i need in my studio recordings
