Purchased on Ebay, used. The seller was inacurate as to the condition. Stated as mint but was recieved in piss poor condition. To itemize all the things wrong would take too much time. The bass buzzed like mad through my amps. I new right away the preamps and/or pick-ups were going bad. I cleand the exterior of the bass, replaced the strings with D'Addario pro steels, and it looked very good after that. Shipped it up to Mike Tobias after emailing him about my concern. This gentleman promptly looked it over and emailed me his findings. Long story short, he replaced all the electronics and pick-ups with modern stuff that goes into his basses. Gladly paid him for the repair. Shipped it back to me. Now that all is well I must say this is the best sounding bass I have played to date. My Ken Smith takes a close second place and the Spector LX6 third. No matter what genra of music you play you need quality amp gear to appreciate this bass. It will rock, funk, tap, and give you a gospel tone worthy of praise.

Set up is great, sound is tight, sustain for days, absolute quality throughout the instrument.

Being that the quality of the materials used in this bass is excellent I forsee no real problems. If there is one Mr. Tobias will fix it. I cant say enough about this bass. Play one and see/hear for yourself.
