Features : 9
5 string fretless, laminated to, active electronics, 2 bartolini pickups, 34" scale

Sound : 10
sound is great. active for deep earth shaking sounds, passive for raspy midrangey sound. you can also adjust the blend between the two pickups, treble, and volume. it seems like more of a studio bass than a live bass, but it works wel in both situations. in the studio, you can plug directly in and get an incredible sound. no need to hide the tone with effects

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
bass was bought used. I adjusted the action and now no complaints. the only problme I have with the bass is sometimes the B string rolls a bit too easily off teh to of the fretboard......very embarrassing in a live situation. however, you simply have to adjust your playing style accordingly

Reliability/Durability : 9
well built. solid finish. something tells me this bass could withstand some abuse

Customer Support : 10
michael tobias personally answered an email I sent the company. I have spoken with various other people in the company as well. no complaints whatsoever

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing guitar and bass for 7 year now and this is easily the highest quality instrument I have ever purchased. if it was lost, I would look around for another one.

I use this bass whit an Demeter VTBP-201L preamp, an CrestAudio Vs 1100 poweramp and a Ampeg HE410 Classic cab. I play Metal/Ska and samtime pop, I detune it to G#C#F#BE And this sucke sound every time great. Becose of the activ electronic you can just mack it sound like you whant ( Cut the midrange and boost bass and trembel for slap; boost midrange and bass for pick or let the midrange flat and bosst bass and trembel for finger)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8

Made in the Chech republic (Tsjekkia in norwegian)
24 frets, no inlays, 5 strings.
Laminated poplar body, flame maple top, very beautiful:)
Volume, panning, active bass and treble on a stacked pot.
two Bartolini j-pickups
Looks like a "shaved j-bass" (www.mtdbass.com)
Gotoh bridge, and Schaller machine heads.
Petty wide spacing between the strings(which I like)

Sound : 10
Rock, blues, just about anything I get to play
Marshall 100 watt tube amp, Carvin RL 410 cab.
Sometimes a pod, for some effects.
Rich, full, deep, bright, it can do anything at least what I need it to do,

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Bought second-hand, set-up was great.
No flaws, unless you consider that the fingerboard looks as if it was made by a human being, not cast in a form..;)
No noise, and good, solid pots.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Will withstand live playing. very quiet. Thick, solid layer of nice tobacco sunburst.
Small strap buttons. Replaced them with some I had on an Ibanez guitar. Big and chunky. They`re as safe as any non-straplock buttons

Customer Support : 10
Haver had e-mail contact with both Mike Tobias and some other guy I can`t remember the name of....Sorry.
Very nice and helpful. Definitely service-minded.
No warranty. Bought used.

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing guitar and bass for 17 yrs.
Own two Ibanez guitars (RG and old Roadstar, both modified with new pickups, etc.)Line6 POD, Zoom 503, Tech21 tri-OD, Marshall JCM 800, Rivera 4x12 knucklehead cabinet, Carvin RL 410 cabinet.Old korean "Vester" bass (WORN OUT!!!;)
Would probably not buy it again, cos it`s too expensive new....:)
But all of my equipment i insured, so I guess I`d get another GOOD bass, at least.
