This bass sounds awesome!!! Love the Bartolinis and Bart preamp. I play it through an Ashdown MAG300 and 410T cabinet. Occasional Chorus and compression pedals. The only issue I had that it came from the factory with the onboard master gain pot at its lowest setting. I was not aware that this bass had this feature and was puzzled that its output was so low. I email MTD and Mike Tobias quickly responded with the solution.Quick little adjustment and BAM!! The best customer service bar none!
Action, Fit, & Finish

Factory setup was perfect!! I wasnt keen on the stock MTD strings and the gauge. I replaced with DR 120-40 hi-beams and had a full setup done.
The fit and finish on this is incredible. PERFECT!
Reliability/Durability

This bass should stand up well. The finish seems extremely durable. I dont want to gig with it too much as this is my pride and joy!! I have a backup and will probably add something else.

I have been playing for 22+ years minus a hiatus of 4 or 5. I play everything from jazz to metal. Right now I am playing in a original rock band.
I have always wanted a Tobias instrument and finally got this. There is nothing out there that I can say I like as much as this. Its perfect. I played Warwicks, Alembics, etc etc and felt this was better, especially the value. About the only other bass I have on my wish list is a Sadowsky.
If it were lost or stolen I would definately get another.
