Made in 1993 in the US. 24 frets. Alder body with a clear finish and a black pickguard. 1 EMG pickup. 3 control knobs, volume, bass and treble. The bass control really changes the sound a lot, it affects the mids quite a bit too. Modulus graphite neck. Composite fingerboard and nut. Chrome hardware. The bridge is neat, you can adjust the string spacing.
The neck is really flat, and there is no truss rod. However, it plays like a dream. Ridiculously low action and barely any buzz. The bass is quite light (much lighter than my Fender Japan Jazz Bass) and is well balanced when played with a strap. Quite easy to play.
The neck is quite stable. I tried it in a CDGDA tuning and it stayed put. (I will try CGDAE when I get a high string later)
Sound

The best word I can think of to describe the sound is "alive". It plays very easily, and is so responsive that I find I have to pay special attention to muting as to not get little knocks and scrapes that are quite present through my amp. It's like have people whispering in the background sometimes (and I'm not crazy, at least not yet). It's sound is very modern, It would not be a good choice for vintage mo-town. I'm playing mostly jazz and classical music lately and it suits me well. It would also be great for metal or grindy rock. It can go from dark and edgy to light and woody by using the tone controls.

I bought it used. The action is amazing. The finish is a nice clear poly that shows a clean piece of alder. It has a few dings and scratches. It looks good. It feels good to play.

I've been playing for about 17 years. I like this bass.
