This is an update to my previous review.
I didn't know the model name of this bass before.
Now I know it. It is a Mosrite 350.

I've had it 33 years. Pickup wiring shorted. I had them repaired. Finish developed tiny cracks. I may refinish it one day.

It's a very rare bass. I've never played it at a multi-band gig, when someone from another band did not offer to buy it. People are always asking to buy it. It looks so unusual and beautiful.

I bought this bass in 1973 or 74. It's still beautiful to look at, even though the finish has cracked over the years. It has a lovely shape. No Mosrite owners I know, have ever seen one like it. Its shape features no sharp cutaways like most Mosrites. But its lightning-fast neck shows the handiwork of Semi Moseley.
It has 2 humbucking pickups. I don't care much for them.
The neck is the fastest of any bass I have ever played. It has an ebony fingerboard too, which is rare and unusual.

This bass is not the best sounding I have ever played. I prefer the sound of a Fender Jazz bass. However, this bass is a joy to play. The fingerboard is just amazing. No Fender ever had a neck like this. But it is so fast, that this is not a good bass on which to play funk or slap bass. This is a smooth-sounding bass, good for rock, jazz or country.

The best action of any electric bass I've ever seen. A 10 Beautiful to look at - a 10. Finish cracked after about 15 years. For that, I give it a 7. Great machine heads. Great fingerboard. And very easy on the eyes.

Neck is still straight as the day I bought it -- great. Finished has cracked. There are shorts in the wiring to one pickup.

This instrument is irreplaceable, because no one, not even the Mosrite owners in Japan and the US at the various Mosrite websites, have ever seen one like this before. If I lost it, I could not find a new one. Anyway, most of the bass parts I play today, are on synths, because I do a lot of midi sequencing.
I love it's beautiful design and it's amazing neck. But it's on the heavy side for a long gig. If you ever see one of these, I highly recommend that you buy it - if only to look at. But chances are, you'll never find one like it.
