Not sure of the year, late 60's I think. made in the USA, 22 frets w/ a zero fret. Hollowbody and just like a Epiphone casino or Gibson 330 no center block. Not sure if these are single coils or not, but i think they are, they have plastic tops and ive taken them off to look inside. Sunburst in color, 2 F holes ,body and F holes fully bound. Duck feet tuners. This is the same size as the 6 string celebrity and looks just like one only it has 4 strings, it's a (very) short scale bass. just picture playing bass on a Gibson 330!

Sound : 6
not too noisey for a 30+ y/o guitar, but not real loud and punchy, kinda dull but ive never really messed around with it, sounds great unplugged being a hollybody so it makes practice at night easy. i play guitar not bass but will probably be using this for home recording which im sure it will do fine at once I contour the sound abit.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
the neck on this bass is AMAZING!!! a todddler could play this neck! I havent played bass in years but when i 1st picked this baby up my fingers flew across it like I was some virtuoso. so thin so small!! and the short scale is great too!
like i said the guitar is old so the finish isnt gonna be perfect but this one still looks great, only the neck binding is flaking.
bridge buzzes a little but i think i can get rid of that.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
live? um maybe if youre carfull
it has lasted longer than ive been alive so it should keep going if i take care of it. I'd like to see if theres somewhere i can take it to have it "set up" and get the neck binding fixed up though then it'd probally be the best bass ever, though right now she aint bad!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Semie passed away about a decade ago so um none..

Overall Rating : 10
other than this i have one of the higher end Takamine Acoustic guitars, and a mosrite Celebrity 6string. my amp is a Vox Valvetronix 2x12. been playing for longer than I'd like to admit, do indierock/noise pop stuff. i love this bass, so fast and easy to play, i'd like to get another( or the mark2 reissue bass) and probably will get this one tuned up to make it either road or studio ready. i have plans to buy up alot of mosrite celebrity 6 strings too. the mosrite is the worlds best guitar and its some kinda conspiracy that all guitars dont have necks like this.
