Features : 9
USD 249, 2007 GC057 laminated spruce top in ruby red finish. Abolone rossette and dot neck markers on rosewood fretboard. Thin comfortable neck with soft v profile. USA made super shallow bowl back. OP4bt preamp with undersaddle thinline pickup.

Sound : 9
Unplugged, it's a little on the quiet side and a bit bright, lacking the low end punch you expect from a deeper bodied guitar. Typical of super shallow acoustics. Pluggeg in though is where you get your moneys worth. Very full, warm tones ring out. I did put some medium Martin bronze 80/20's on it...rivals my overpriced other guitars now.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
I bought this off the rack and fairly fresh out of the box. The fit and finish was flawless. The binding is nicely done, and the neck has a smooth satin finish, no sticky neck. The action was a bit high but easily fixed here at home.

Reliability/Durability : 9
With just the little tweak work I did on this guitar, I'm pretty impressed overall. I gig with it a lot, and it's holding up well. I do have a $2600. backup cuz things can go wrong, but haven't yet. It's just a comfortable guitar.

Haven't had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for about 30 years and have an extensive collection of fine guitars...electric and acoustic. I just like the way this inexpensive guitar feels and plays. The tweak work I did to it was a little taller graphite nut with just a little wider string spacing, tiny shim under the saddle, and a truss rod adjust to bring the action down to perfect. Grover 18:1's and straplocks finished the deal all for under $120 and 2 hours of my time. I would replace this guitar with the same if ever something where to happen to it. Did I mention I have a $2600. backup, made in Montana?
