Features : 10
Made in 2001 at Overwater Jam Factory Carlisle. 24 frets, 4 controls normal and XLR input. Two overwater designed active pick ups. Rosewood board. Progress 3 body shape. Overwater custom designed bridge. 36" scale neck.

Sound : 9
This bass sold itself within the first 3 notes. A quick look at the overwater website's endorsee list serves as testemony to the great sound of their basses. Only problems I had was some hissing when playing close to my amp in small venues - hence the 9. Forget the idea that your hand cannie handle a long scale neck - The 36" scale provides a beast of a low B and is the only way to justify having that extra str.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
As all their bassess are handmade, handfinished and properly setup before selling, action and set-up are never going to be a problem. Each bass is finished aesthetically to a very high standard as well.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Bought it, took it home and kept it in a draughty flat in which the temperature fluctuates between 5 degrees in the morning to about 25 degrees when the electric heaters beast it and 5 months later the truss rod needed NO adjustment.

Customer Support : 10
Overwater are a great bunch of people, very friendly and helpful and will even give you free playing tips while they set up your instrument!

Overall Rating : 10
