The sound of this bass blew me away. I was quite shocked when I read the other reviews of the 5 string as I've never played a bass that sounded this good.The clarity and depth of sound are striking. I also own a Bongo and a custom Shuker and it could match the Bongo for meatiness but did so with more poise.It was more comparable to the Shuker but the electrics on the Overwater allow the choice of a more usable range of tones.

The build of the bass is immaculate however the setup was a fraction too low so buzzed a bit. I did buy the bass from a retailer rather than from Overwater directly and will take it to them for a setup.

Once this bass has had a proper set up I can't see any reason for keeping many of my other basses. Between this and my Shuker all the bases (basses !) are covered.
