Features : 9
Bubinga top
Multi-laminate maple neck
Neck-through design
18V active electronics
Active VFL pickups
Master Volume, pickup pan, low, mid, treble pots
Fingerstyle bridge
Soft gold hardware w/ o-ring tone knobs

Falls just short of a 10 because the "pickup pan" doesn't really pan between the pickups. Either-Or unless you are in the middle.

Sound : 10
ULTRA quiet electronics with no hiss. Peavey rightfully claims "studio quality" electronics. Lack of true pickup-pan function doesn't really limit the tone. This bass has modern tone in the middle. Go heavy on the neck pickup and it has great P bass tones. Pan to the bridge pickup and it GROWLS like a mother. Its jazz bass tone is more modern but the growl kicks. I like the array of sounds better than any other bass I've owned. Tons of sustain.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Factory neck setup was non-existent, like it was never adjusted. I adjusted the neck low to my liking and the pickup height was pretty spot on. Intonation at that height is pretty close - just minor adjustments to make. I've noticed 2 anomalies in the coating that is on the body/neck but they are VERY minor and almost unnoticable as well as a minor flaw in the bubinga top. Fret edges are very smooth and the neck feels great.

Reliability/Durability : 8
This bass seems sturdy enough but the neck could use reinforcement for my taste. Peavey does graphite reinforce the USA models.

Customer Support : 10
Peavey rocks, they excellent support staff. I've not had to deal with them on this bass but I have with other products and have been very satisfied.

Overall Rating : 9
Wow. I don't understand why this bass isn't the talk of the town. They are very beautiful, have loads of features and sound even better than they look. Build quality is very good and the electronics are FAR better than that of competing products. The hardware is nice and so is the finish. At under $600, it is a good value but at the price I paid new I almost feel like I robbed the store. It growls more than a Fender Jazz and the P bass sound is better than a Fender (IMHO). I was more impressed with this bass than comparable Spector, Schecter, Ibanez, Yamaha and Washburns.
