I bought this bass in a hurry cause i had recently traded in my fretted 5 and did not know i was going to join another rock cover band. Fretless wasnt cutting through the mix. In the store i immediately noticed it punched right through- like i want it to...I find most modern basses dont really have enough punch or low end for me unless i go towards Musicman..which wasnt in my budget. I was instantly blown away at how bassy and punchy she sounded. I play though eden WT260 with an Avatar neo 2x10. In my home studio I use a Mesa Boogie Buster 200 combo that might never move again due to weight. This thing really shines through the boogie! Needed to re-EQ the Eden from what i use with the fretless 6- the Cirrus needed less bass and a touch of mid-shift. Electronics dead quiet.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Factory setup was pretty good overall! Its a touch higher than id prefer and I will get a professional setup pretty soon. Frets are good, no fretnoise and well seated. My bass was a floor model with two gold nobs missing- and for this i saved over $300.00!!! Im not complaining about that.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I purchased this girl cause i expect to play her out 100 times a year minimmum. I am of the strong opinion that a fretted 5 is a must for any working bass player. Shes a week in my hands but i dont intend a trade any time soon and event though shes indo, seems of higher quallity than ANY South Korean bass ive ever owned. Peavey did a great job in designing this, and quallity control must be airtight in this factory. It is a little too pre-emptive to tell you how durable this baby is but ill guess she will last forever if nothing bad happens.

Customer Support : No Opinion
dunno- peavey forum hasnt answered me yet. Ny all accounts peavey has great customer service tho.

Overall Rating : 9
Im a 30 year musician. Ive played everything from original to cover rock to doo wop to gospel in an inner city pentecostal church band. This bass would make it on any gig in any band i ever was in. I paid about enough to have gotten a junker but i got a Caddiac copy. Brought it into band practice yesterday and the only thing that sucked is my effects unit had dying batteries and i blamed it on the house amp for the first 90 minutes. Doh! For the price i paid and even the price I should have paid i feel i stole this bass.
