This is an update to my earlier review. My Frankinstein bass is finally alive. After all the electronics were removed it has a new heart. My bart 3band preamp from my roscoe. Then custom wound 4 coil bart pickups. The neck was adjusted for low action and a fret job was done. Finally a custom made brass nut was added.Even though I said I would not do it I just ordered a set of spertzel locking tuners because the wilkenson tuners do slip.So now everywhere I play the bass get nothing but attention. It looks like a $4000 custom. And when I play it jaws drop.I now use this more than the roscoe. It's Alive

Like a jazz bass with a hulk attitude on steroids.

Everything that was wrong is now right.Raven should come out with a model upgrade like this.

I use this to keep the ware and tear down on the roscoe. And even though it has a different tone than the roscoe, its not lacking its own great tone. This bass is built like a tank and that's why I rebuilt it that way.

If I lost this bass in any way I would buy another one and rebuild it the same way.For my 40 years of playing, rebuilding this bass was easy using Music Technology. They do the work on all my basses. This type of project might be hard for younger players but if you can save up the funds you should do it.Just do your home work on the parts and go for it.
