This bass has a swamp ash body and a maple neck with rosewood fretboard. On the fretboard is Vine inlays with pearl and abalone. It has two Alnico Jb2 Pickups and Black Hardware. It is also a passive bass. The body is sort of like a jazz bass. 2 vol and 2 tone controls allow just about any sound you need.

This bass sounds amazing. I play many styles of music and this bass can go from jazz to rock in no time. I use it with my Firebass700 and usually my 8x10, but I also rotate with my 4x10 and 2x10. I haven't used it in the studio yet, but plan to soon. I love the ability the bass has to get clean crisp highs and not sacrafice the lows.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action was amazing when I recieved it and the intonation was perfect. The only thing was it was strung with some cheap strings, but as soon as they were changed it was on. The pickups were also at the perfect spot for me. I have never seen action this good without haveing to adjust it yourself.
Reliability/Durability

I play very aggressive and this bass takes the force extremely well. The hardware is very durable and will last. The finish is great, the strap buttons are solid, everything is built to stay. you can for sure depend on it. I would use it on a gig without a backup if I had to, but a backup is just a must to me at the level of shows I play I can't just take a break to fix a broke string.

The guy at raven is pretty cool. I haven't tried to get it repaired. The warranty last a year and is limited, but you got to have some cons with all the pros of this bass.

I have been play about 7 years And I have had many basses come and go. The only one I really have held on to is my Ibanez ergodyne. It is a edc705. I love that bass, I first bought the new bass as a backup, but now I think it will get equal playing time. If the raven was stolen or lost I would without a doubt by it again, you just get more than you pay for. I love the looks, sound, playability, and how light in weight it is. I hate that I didn't find it sooner. My favorite feature is the sound it creates, it's just that tone I have been trying to create. Got to love the jazz pickups. I wish it had active pickups, but it really doesn't need it.
