Read what was said before Raven Makes BEAUTIFUL looking and sounding guitars 4 way adjustments and G&H pick ups may be asain but their the best asian electronics hands down. Can't really complain about anything on this bass as far as features it has them all.

Sound : 10
I've played thru Hartkes, AMPEG's, and Messa Boogie bass amps and this thing kills with all of them....you want warm dial it in, you want slap dial it in, you want over the top big bottom booms! Just dial it in it does it all.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Set it up and let it go. Mine has a Green Maple gloss tint with black overlays Beauty. Really pops in the lights.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Never had a problem. Used the same battery for a 4 month tour was amazed the tone didn't zap so I played it safe and changed it. Rock solid takes a beating.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to use it but their readily available.

Overall Rating : 10
Love this bass...can't believe their under the radar so much. Their getting big enough to be bought out by someone.

This bass features 5 strings and two active pickups. It has a 5 piece maple/walnut 24 fret neckthru neck with MOP position markers and rosewood fingerboard and ash/walnut body. It has a silky satin finish. The pickups are large soapbar type with four adjusting screws. The electronics are blend, volume, bass and treble. Every control has a center detent except the volume. The bridge is either thru the body or set in bridge stringing system. All hardware is gold plated. The tuning keys are the Schaller type. It was shipped with allen wrenches as warranty card and instructions. The input jack is recessed in the body and grips your plug tightly. And this is made in Korea?

I play mostly blues with some modern rock thrown in for the young folks. I play thru an GK RB400 with an Alembic F2 Preamp with the eq disabled. I use a 1-15 and 4-10 cabinet. The tone is so flexible and full ranged it is unbelievable. I have a USA P bass and this bass can easily cover that and more. Great funk tone is easily achieved. In fact, I can dial in every tone I need with the blend control and active eq. It has just a bit of noise with the treble full up. I can even sit in front of my and type this with out a bunch of racket. If it were completely noiseless I would give it a ten. I played every string on every fret and found no deadspots unlike my Pbass and the disapearing C note.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
It arrived with perfect setup and flawless intonation. I played with the pickup height and would up where I started. The fretjob on this is perfect and the fret edges are non existent. This is the silkiest neck I have ever played. You would swear there was binding if blindfolded. The finish is a thin satin and try as I might I could not find a flaw. My only complaint is that the battery is in the control cavity and not in its own springloaded-cover compartment. The balance of neck to body is perfect - does not want to rise or dive on my shoulder. The gold hardware has perfect plating and is very solid looking, feeling and sounding. It was shipped strung in the bridge and not thru the body??? I will be changing that because of the extreme (IMHO) angle over the bridge. Every piece of plastic was protected by that plastic film cover. The strap pegs are large and I seriouly doubt that even my old worn leather strap will come off. Even has the felt between the pegs and the body. The tuners are spaced a bit close for my big fingers but have plenty of room to make the turns.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I have only had it for three hours and nothing surprising has happened and I doubt anything will fall apart. I suppose that the gold plating will wear. It has a lifetime warranty. The thin satin finish offers no protection so be careful. I never gig with out a backup but this bass just replaced my P-bass as my main bass. It gets a nine due to newness and thin finish.

I bought this from RAYMAR Enterprised and they were very helpful and supportive in the purchase and follow up on delivery. It has the lifetime warranty. Even has instructions on how to get non warranty work performed. No problems yet so who really knows.

Overall Rating : 10
I took a chance on my firt fivestring and bought this. I was overwhelmed with the quality of construction and sound. It is highly flexible and well built. It seems that every detail to make a quality instrument was in mind and applied flawlessly. I suppose it could have brand name electronics and hardware but I have absolutely no complaints. This is the first purhcase I have made that has had nothing negative about it. I have played many five strings with 4 figure price tags and I chose this one. Incredible value and I can not believe you get so much for so litle.

The bass sounds awesome! Good for slap and normal finger playing.
I play thru an Ampeg B-100R Rocket Bass amp...beautiful sound.
No noise at all.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The action out of the box has been acceptable. I may need to tweak the intonation a bit.
The pickups were fine out of the box.
The action was low but perfect for me. No fret buzz at all.
The gold hardware had some rubbing on it when I received it but no major finish flaws.

Reliability/Durability : 10
The reliability so far has been fantastic. I don't forsee any problems from this bass for a long while if at all.
my only complaint is the battery access is through the same cover as all the other electronics. It would be nice to have a seperate battery compartment.

Customer Support : 10
I bought this bass from Ravenwestguitar. An excellent company to deal with! I bought thru eBay and they don't offer this model on their website. A real bummer. I have seen it for sale at www.guitarlab.net however.
I have never had a need for repair, although when I mentioned the rubbing on the gold hardware, I was offered a full refund right away. But like I said it was not that major a flaw.
The Raven carries a lifetime warranty.

Overall Rating : 10
If it were lost or stolen I would love to have another although I would be hard pressed to get it for that price again :)
