4-String, 20 fret, Standard Jazz Bass. 2 single coil pickups, 2 volume knobs and 1 tone, 3-ply pickguard. Maple (I believe) neck with a Rosewood Fingerboard. Paid $125 for it, worth every penny and more. It is a complete Fender knockoff, so it has the same features as a Fender Standard Jazz Bass.

I play punk, but I never really liked the warm, rich Precision sound. I think "Papillon" from the Bouncing Souls has the best sound in music. Period. So a Jazz Bass fit my style perfectly, this particular one sounded beautiful, but it wouldn't amplify well, and couldn't handle distortion (yeah, sounds funny in a Bass review) so it kinda was a love-hate relationship. (I loved it when I would play it alone, hated it when it was too easily drowned out.)

When I bought it, the only thing wrong with it was a couple of screwholes where a thumb rest used to be(I rue the Human Being that put a thumb rest on my baby). And the neck was a little convex, but I only had to adjust the Truss Rod in Three years of ownership.

Will this Bass withstand live playing? Hell Fuckin' Yeah it will! I swung it at the ground 6 TIMES and only managed to cut one of my fingers open, but it cracked nicely on the 7th swing. I regret that 7th swing everyday. But I was really pissed and you couldn't talk me out of my destuctive disposition.

I want another one, it's not loud enough for playing live, but it is a perfect recording Bass. If you have one you want to sell, please contact me. I'd pick it over any other brand in a heartbeat. Please, Please, please contact me if you have one. My Cell # is (812)360-7042 and I've looked everywhere for another, and I think I smashed a one of a kind.
