Features : 10
Made in Canada by one of their sister companys in 1999.
Four string bass with a contoured Alder body and 4-bolt 5 piece neck.
A 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard and a 34 inch scale.
Two active humbuckers connected to four knobs: Vol, Pan, and 2 Tone. Black die-cast gears, a heavy bridge, and a brass nut.
Natural finish with an oil type stain to bring out wood grain.

Beautifully made, great choice of hardware, especially the bridge
and nut. Neck finish is unusual though, with the underside not
smooth (natural wood texture). Different but sexy! This s a real Axe!

Sound : 10
I like to play jazz, reggae, and funk.
This BASS is exceptionally good for slapping.
Pickups are uergonomically covered and spaced well apart.
Allows you to get into the strings without snagging the pickups.
Tone and active circuit delivers an incredible array of control.
Fed through a ZOOM 708 produces an ausome sound with richness.
High quality strings (roundwound) gives great clarity and depth.
This guitar is easily a studio/touring guitar.
Well balanced, small body with a jazz neck places it anywhere.

Love the price!
No dislikes!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
BASS had some problems from factory.

Pan tuning pots were noisy and Samick is addressing this issue.
Finish showed some quality problems with storage - small scratches.
Pickups and intonation were adjusted within spec.
Quality of workmanship is excellent - almost handcrafted!

Reliability/Durability : 9
This is a solid well made BASS for the money!
A real eye catcher!

I would rate this baby against a Washburn or Ibanez
$900.00 list BASS.

Would own many of them in different colors.
