Perfect tone! Using a 100 watt crate bx100. High tone has annoying buzz. Rich and full sound on low tone. Rock/Jazz sound. Better for studio, but awesome on stage.

Will withstand live playing.Hardware great quality. Finish is ok will redo soon. Strap buttons were re mounted. Neck has not been adjusted but needs it. I could use it without a back-up. Sounds like a Fender!

Been playing for 8 years. I love the bass. Great bass for the price, but would spend more money on Ernie Ball or Schector. I can easily compare this bass t a Fender p bass special. I would like the bass to have a jazz pickup.

It is a 2001 model samick 4 string, possibly made in usa, but more likely some japanese sweatshop. 20 jumbo frets, 1 split coil p/u 1 single coil p/u. 2 volume controls and one tone. the pickups are samick made, passive and they sound awesome. tobacco sunbhurst in colour with a bolt on neck. i got it with a gigbag, picks, strap, lead and a 15 watt samick amp, and that was sweet too. No bells or whistles, but honestly what else do you need?

i play mainly heavy metal to hard rock, but if i want to go softer a simple turn of the controls is all that is needed. im playing through a 75 watt jade hurricane amp and they compliment each other very well. it has a very rickenbackery distorted tone, but i get a lot of noise with the single coil pickup. It has a very rich, full sound but i can make it clean and cutting if i so desire. from slap to speed picking, this bass can handle it. if you need the heavy, powerful sound of metallica, or the funky buzzing frets of the chili peppers, this bass can do it. the only thing the blows is with the single coil, there is no high end whatsoever.

the bass is pretty much flawless, however when i bought it, i had to make some adjustments. i had to lift the low E string up a bit, too much fret buzz, and one of the volume knobs was loose and rattling. but i fixed both of those and now the bass cannot be flawed. It stays in tune forever, no matter how hard you play. thats probably also with the help of the D'Addario Strings it came with. now that the bass is in perfect order it looks great, and plays even better.

we'll just call this the arnold schwartzenneger of basses. i cant kill it, ive dropped it, banged it, and almost stepped on it and it is good as new, not even a chip in the finish. it stays in tune perfectly, and i have found a 180 degree turn of the low e string automatically puts you in drop-d! gold! the strap buttons are solid as hell, never come loose or fall out. i have never needed to adjust the truss rod, ever. i would and have used this bass on a gig without a backup and its all good. perfect.

its unkillable, so no need to call them and bitch. But if i had to, im sure they would be as ignorant and arrogant as any other manufacturer.

I own A Jade Hurricane 75 Bass Combo, Drive Distortion Pedal, PSK Wah, and a danelectro Flanger. If this bass was stolen, i would buy another one exactly like it. i love everything about it. when i was first going to start playing, i was either gonna buy a beginners generic bass, or something more. so i went to all the music places, and i can remember playing ESPs, Ibanez 5strings and the like, and the samick beat the hell out of all of them for both sound and playability. so in conclusion, awesome bass. now to continue my practicing of anesthesia.....
