Bought 4-04,beautiful maple topw/binding.Thin fast neck and action.Brass nut is a classy touch.Active pu's,dual hb's.

Bass has a kick butt rock sound with selector leaned into the front pu.Drummer heard it coming into rehearsal before he saw it and thought it was my 69pbass,that's not a bad comparision!Can pull off vintage pump and funky snap.Could pull off many styles with no problem.

Factory set up was great,I raised it a hair to suit my style better,I play very hard,it's just something I've always done.No complaints in this department.

HERE'S WHERE IT GETS UGLY!Preamp ate 4 batteries in less than 5 weeks. Dealer contacted Samick for replacement,NOW IT REALLY GETS UGLY!!!

Samick would not return calls my dealer made.After a month finally sent preamp.It was clearly yanked out of another bass.Dealer was furious.Two weeks later sent new preamp,battery lasted 1 week.Samick informed dealer model was discontinued.This model has a lifetime warranty,yet Samick didn't offer to replace the bass or correct the mess.Evidently none of these models were left at the factory.This is the worst experience I've had with an instrument. BEWARE SAMICK!!!

I've played for 30 years,I wouldn't wish this on anyone.It was really a cool little bass until I needed customer support.Samick needs to pull their heads out of their a**es and get on the stick if they want to compete with everyone else.They should see how G&L and CARVIN handle customers problems to understand how it is done.SAMICK GET A GRIP!!!
